KF94 don't press against your mouth. Surgical mask whole piece press against your face and mouth - your mask soiled v quickly and unpleasant.
You're replying to a 4-year old post...
But yah that's my experience with KF94. Also makes it easier to speak normally because the lips are not being touched by the mask.

Unfortunately this thing is endemic. So it is here to stay. So masks will be relevant.

Every now and then have report of uptick in influenza (prob includes stats for covid), so you want to have some masks at hand since Sg everywhere also crowded.

Sad to say, but I don't think we can ever be mask free again since this thing is endemic.
Unless you want to open yourself to constant infection.
Really wonder what's the point of jabbing and jabbing when still can get infected. Sigh ...

No surprise such a common courtesy like in Japan and Korea did not take off here even after COVID. It took an enforced "mandate" with fines involved to get people to wear.

Now that it is endemic, it's really treated just like flu. People openly coughing and sneezing without bothering to wear mask. The whole point of masking up (when ill) is entirely missed, almost as if people are resistant to this idea of minimising spread to others.

Totally… I have to protect myself since others don’t want to be civic minded

I don't know if Korea has this courtesy of wearing mask when ill. I thought they wear is because of yellow dust and because they do cosmetic surgery on face.

But yes, Japan definitely has this courtesy that I really admire!
People should just be responsible and keep their germs to themselves.
It is just sad that despite being 'educated' about wearing masks here, people just don't get the point.
Maybe it is because of the initial messaging of 'Healthy no need mask'. Sigh ...

here can lie in coffin but cannot b sick esp long term. So i still wear it whenever i go out.
Ya, you are right. Can't be sick esp long term.

I take a middle ground stand - I wear only in enclosed places and crowded places.
If open air where not many people around, I don't wear. Give me some sense of 'normalcy' - like before this covid thing.

All my masks are falling apart.
Which type and brand you buy?
And how you store?

I am clearing my last box of surgical masks and KN94 masks that I bought a few years ago.
Still looks and feels ok. Nothing disintegrated, nothing broken.
I hope they can still filter properly though. Lol.
TIll today, in this entire covid thing, I never tested positive. But had some mild symptoms now and then - maybe too mild to detect on ART kit. Credit to the masks recommended by the bros here! (y)

Reputable brand

The nose bridge foam disintegrated, and I stored them in a cupboard.

Nose bridge foam part can replace. So don't throw away your masks.
