Why is it an offside when there wasn't any intention of passing to the player?

Neither did the player touched the ball.

Yeah but he was in the direct path of the ball and he ducked to avoid the ball. All these affect the keeper and defenders.

Seems like they made changes to the offside rule regarding this. Saw many similar goals in the past and no such issues.
