Ever since the the gov change to this new system, many parents cannot see open and it makes the entire psle climate extremely competitive

Just a single point diff is like heaven and hell to them

They really fight tooth and nail to wanna get the best scores

Quite strange the top few range so narrow, different teachers marking sure have some deviations too

Child AL15. Choice of schools:

1st choice: Cut off point AL13
2nd: COP AL14
3rd: COP AL15

And have the cheek to ask if 1st choice got chan. Knn, really need to give them a slap to wake up their idea.

No lar. If child can study, no issue with AL 1 2 or 3.

If child not talent in study, you tuition until cow come home, the child will still AL 5 for the subject.

I also want to add. Those parents that say they got a shock by the poorer than prelims results.

You know, we all are like that. When things not going well, and parents ask us "how is the paper?", even though we know is buang already, we will reply "it's good!" in order not to be scolded/nagged.

Therefore, the problem is not the child, but parents themselves.

Some regrets not sending child to affiliated primary/secondary schools.

Knn, you want to game the system by how much????? Can't based on own child's merits?

My son said to us "why u never send me to affiliated school last time but instead send me to neighborhood school. I would have got into my dream school"

I roll my eyes and scold him then tell him to take time machine go back to kindergarten and stop jjww

Earlier on, some mothers cried in disbelief cause their children did worse than Prelim. After the kids sleep then the fathers turn. AL14/15 is not bad u know. I wanted to say 你在哭什麼哭，没出息！But sure kena attack.

in fact, any score that's 210 or lower, you are literally teetering on a fine line between pass or fail.

with so much established knowledge you can learn online, academic grades are really not the crucial one. Need to spend more time developing good attitude and mindset so when they eventually find something they are keen to learn, they will not turn out to be like Semenjailboy or Xiasuay.
