If you apply after July you are lucky cos they already implemented the tracker which makes it easier for you to get your $30 for $300 spend. I'm still waiting for $30 owed to me for my June spending

Usually i pay in cash one. But some stores don't accept cash at all. I love the yoghurt ice cream at donno 2nd or 3rd level of Aeon Mall. There's where I need to use cc. I notice some standalone cafe kiosk likely don't accept cash. based on my recent experience at Sutera mall also the same. So it is good to have mari cc on hand.

Now that it allows IPP

Min of $50 singly or consolidated
3, 6, 9, 12 mth tenors
Processing fee starts at 1.5%

Will it be a challenger to SCB SMART CC and the OCBC Cashflo CC?

Why not use TNG. Got better offer at those stores, esp food

It's ok as a no FX card, but be careful which merchants you use it at.
FWIW, bus, mrt, lrt, monorail, ktm in Malaysia i didn't get Cashback.
Just for testing purposes for a trip each.
Cashback posting is slow, some slower than others I guess. Wait a few days see again.
Bus and LRT posted so far.

Back to TNG i go for this class of use

Which portion?

My comment on the promotion for waiver of the FCY or wutawa comment on how to "bypass" his 500 limit?
actually my link is to the thread, not to any particular post.
he doesn't understand using Mari cc in overseas.

Waiver of fcy. There's a fx transaction charge 3% and understand from Maribank cs there is unlimited cashback up to 4.5% and can use 3% to offset.

I'm trying to explore if it's worth using Maribank cc

Today I bought something for USD19.80
Was charged S$26.21
Exchange rate S$ 1 = USD 0.778
Cashback S$0.76 which compensate the 3% foreign currency tranx fee.
Overall comparable to Youtrip. But if without this 3% cashback, I'll use youtrip for sure as Youtrip direct conversion shows S$1 = 0.7778 USD.
And Youtrip doesn't charge foreign transaction fees.
I got it. Understand now
So the cashback to offset the transaction fee. The cs told me still got 1.5% cashback. It'd upto 4.5% cashback

Most cc will charge fx transaction fees

Ya it's a play on words. In short they just offering waiver of FCY and being good guys by offering additional cashback

Most cc will charge fx transaction fees
You can treat this promotion similar to the trust CC, which already waive FCY and gives 1% Cashback on non boosted category

Ignore all the mari marketing bs and just purely look at the potential cashback, will it be more than what your other cards will be offering
