Rubbish video.

Cannot eat grapes, say grapes sour.

Single is sibeh lonely.

Find the right partner, one expert say it is happiness x 2, sadness ÷ 2.
At the end of the day, you still have to face loneliness even if you have a partner.
No guarantee that you have happiness.
No such thing as a right partner since people can change all the time.

## Clear expectations, abundance mindset, and cutting losses

The creator recommends stating expectations clearly and early (e.g., timeline for children, division of housework, conflict rules), letting anyone who finds these unacceptable opt out quickly. Adopting an abundance mindset, you treat dating like interviewing multiple candidates, ask direct questions about goals and lifestyle, watch patterns instead of promises, and cut your losses promptly when the “data” shows deep incompatibility so both people are free to find better‑matched partners.

I had a chat with my son when he was in late 20s. He shared that many of his male friends, himself incl, subscribe to the above - to go through 'probation' period before deciding on one. Once if feel 'not right', then break it and look further.

Then my girl's friends more into the idea that once they decided on a man, then die die will be fixated on the man. Any rough edges then the couple needs to try to adjust for each other else it is not 'Love'.

Interesting to hear their differences.

Note the operative word. "Right".

What did the expert say if one married the "wrong" partner?

Why can't we be like hippies and make love, not war?

Just spread free love everywhere

I think you are referring to sex. Because sex is not what bond a family together. Love is. Hippie's life isn't family centric either... They want yolo, sleeps at camper van at remote parks...

Ideally that is what teenager say. In really there is no such thing in this world as happiness let alone happiness x 2. There is sadness but dun assume is sadness divide by 2.

Better or not is ultimately subjective.

Some prefer single hood while others prefer companionship in the forms of a marriage. To each his own.

In SG, what is most important is to game the system, be it single hood or via a marriage.

PS. Single don't mean that the party don't necessarily have a partner. Just not via a marriage.

Sometimes love seeds sprout from intimacy and sex. It could go both ways.
