I may have been retrenched, but thinking to take a break from job search until after chinese new year

Keep a positive mind always. I think you will do well. Yes, just take a rest and do some things you like. Unwind by working part-time F&B/warehouse/factory like 3 days a week, go fishing at Bedok Jetty with pals, etc. That's what I did when I was retrenched in 1998 and 2008 respectively. Your job will come, just need patience.
