Bro, I'm glad both you and I probably went through such a stage, and know that money does not come easily to us without work put in, and yes... some luck in the process.

I struggled with a $1.4k job for 5 years as an outsourced technician for HP. I had to request additional jobs from my boss to ignite production line workstations for Advantech after office hours, just to make ends meet.

I could not even qualify for a credit card then, which was the most I dared to dream. When I could finally apply for one with a new job, I was so happy with my random RBS credit card signed up at an MRT roadshow - I did not even care which bank it was from.

When I got married, my wife had to pay for our wedding bands, and we could only afford a one-table lunch for the closest relatives. Even when I was in NS, when my basic $190 monthly allowance ran out, she would offer to pay for our dates and secretly top up my transitlink card. I will never forget how she supported me through those years before I finally found my footing with a $3k job at an MNC.

There is so much I am thankful for in life, to have even lived so long.

Before meeting my wife, my life had no meaning. I failed my JC and was kicked out. Then I repeated my first year of poly. I was going to fail it again and be expelled until I met my wife. She's the one who motivated me to pick up my life and continue living. She is my joy and salvation. I cannot provide her with a child, so I wish to provide her with a good life.

I guess you can say that is my dream now.
Thank you for sharing bro. Pardon me as I can't share any of mine because my life has been a one way roller coaster down to the valley and stays at the bottom of the valley until now.

Try losing over S$2 million from the time between Deepseek to Trump's tariffs. I don't know if this loss will continue to stretch like the previous one, so we'll see.

It's kinda easier to cope with now. Especially when the last major loss was drawn out over months.

Since I don't trade much, the only skill/non-skill required is patience.

Anyway, you question again, right? Why don't I sell? Because I don't have to.
Bro dereth ish a wise and strong man!!! :(

Moi want to be like Bro dereth when moi grow up!!! :(

Please don't scare the beginners.
In stocks, NOTHING is over as long as you buy steady companies with good records. Just hold, relax, buy the dips, and 101% can retire early.
HOLD, BUY DIPS, WAIT.
rinse and repeat
Very simple.

what should we do oh great one... exit all ai stocks?
Lucky I have exited at the peak. Now it's very obvious there is a rotation out of the AI stocks. You see Oracle, keep going down non stop for how long already. NVDA also has been going down for weeks. Hope they become $50 soon

Problem is, some stocks never recovered. It's easy to say as long as you picked steady stocks. But any company stocks also can toh. Even the big names like Nokia also didn't recover after decades. Even Lehmann brothers also can toh. Even the tech stocks also didn't recover from the dot com burst.
