Went to read r/australia and more info are emerging.

It seems another couple tried to wrestle with the gunmen early on and got shot dead.

Then one of the police was shot in the face and may lose an eye. 4 mths on the job nia

Well mass killing does happen in Asia like Philippines, china and Japan

unless you dun go overseas at all. And going at such a trend, it may happen in sg one day and where can we hide?
sg so dense...
and we have no sense of danger if someone ever has a gun and sneak into, say, a packed mrt at peak hr.

the casualty will be enormous resulting from stampede and no place to hide

I think he got shot by the guy on the bridge?

the hero pinned down the father, the son on the bridge shot him with a scope rifle.

He should have run away with the rifle.

in the army, we are told not to hide behind a tree. must do leopard crawl to get away.

Definitely needs courage to do what he did and he definitely is a hero

At least balance out a bit that there are always good people in any religion

RIP to the other couple who tried to tackle the gunmen and RIP to all those who lost their life in this meaningless and cowardly shooting

Perhaps God's way to pass a message to the intended that anyone can be a terrorist or hero .
A policeman from Syria !
