1. Now we have 5 SIM Only lines to keep.
1) Two Singtel S$15.28 per month SIM Only (recontract offer, 12 months contract), main lines for me and my wife

2) Two Starhub Prepaid S 5G plan at S$3 per month (No contract, Starhub Happy Prepaid Migration offer), mainly for number parking purpose, previous number for me and my wife many years ago.

3) Eight S$8 plan (no contract, S$8 first month, S$6.80 second month, S$4 effective price for the next 22 months with the S$88 one to one top-up offer). This can be used as a backup and also for roaming.

2. Then not so sure whether to change the following line or not, used by my daughter (Secondary School student). It is one of the cheapest 5G plan out there and 80GB data is enough for her use case. She has been using this line since Jan 2025 (it was a Starhub Happy Prepaid Card at that time).

Starhub Prepaid S 5G plan at S$10 per month (this one got no migration offer).

I was thinking to port out the above line to M1 Maxx 5G plan at S$10, but now M1 Maxx S$10 plan got no more 5G, M1 Maxx S$12 plan will have 5G. The other option is Singtel MVNO's 4G plan or Singtel hi! 4G plan.

3. Then I got one number for testing:
M1 Maxx S$10 5G plan (new user got no more 5G) --> CUniq S$9.9 4G plan (for testing of China Roaming) --> Probably CMLink as the next one to try out Singtel MVNO.

Afer that, not so sure, maybe Gomo or Singtel hi!, then probably terminate.

4. I have terminated my SIMBA line which was used to test SIMBA local usage and China roaming.

In the end, I changed my mind and go with Singtel hi! S$10 port-in offer first. Laster I will see if I want to try CMLink or Gomo or others.

Very creative use of eight one-to-one top-up offer and M1 Maxx zero-dollar base plan.

3) M1 Maxx S$12 5G + eight S$14.8 5G

This option is very ideal especially you can play around as follow: -

- m1 Maxx fall back to base plan after 1 month, wait for eight 5G to have 88 days promo and port to eight 5G
- the other eight 5G line port to m1 Maxx thereafter and fall back to base plan
- rinse and repeat

Dual plan strategy for reference.

Better strategy for dual plans with MVNOs, choose one from Bucket 1 and then add another one from Bucket 2 but from different network. And of course you can select from Bucket 1.1 and 1.2 (dual 5G plans).

I tend to recommend eight and SIMBA as the prefer choice from Bucket 2 because of the free roaming voice but you may not need free roaming voice.

Bucket 1: 5G networks but not including SIMBA

B1.1) ST MVNO 5G plans, like Gomo, CMLink or Zym
B1.2) M1/StarHub MVNO 5G plans, like Maxx and eight

2. Bucket 2: 4G network and SIMBA (SIMBA 5G is more comparable to other telcos' 4G)

B2.1) ST MVNO 4G plans, like Gomo, CMLink or Zym
B2.2) M1 MVNO 4G plans, like Maxx
B2.3) StarHub MVNO 4G plans, like eight
B2.4) SIMBA

For Seniors, then dual plans should work pretty well like the following.

1) SIMBA S$5 Senior plan + ST S$5 hi! Senior 4G plan

2) eight S$5 Senior plan + ST S$5 hi! Senior 4G plan

I think 1) is a bit better than 2) because of better roaming benefits.

For SIM Only plans with 12 months contract, you of course need to finish the contract before porting out.

Some no-contract SIM Only plans also have certain limitation when porting out, you need to take note.

Other than the following, any other thinngs to take note for porting out?

1. SIMBA
https://support.simba.sg/hc/en-us/sections/4416126079769-Porting
https://support.simba.sg/hc/en-us/articles/5020380241561-Is-there-a-fee-when-I-port-out-from-SIMBA

An activation fee of $30 is chargeable for port-out within 30 days of plan activation.
Porting out of lucky number? Please refer to the terms and conditions here.

2. Zym
https://zym.sg/faq/port-in/
You can terminate your plan and port out your number after 2 months, as per our Terms and Conditions (Minimal subscription for a non-contract plan is 2-month).

3. Circles.Life -- a bit strange of the port-out date (needs clarifications)

https://circlesasiasupport.zendesk....785689-How-to-port-out-my-Circles-Life-number

Example:
If your port-out is completed on January 22, 2021, your account will be terminated on January 31, 2021, and your line will no longer be active from the following month.

https://circlesasiasupport.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003837793-What-does-No-contract-mean

Circle Life straight away charged you two months of subscription fee upon sign up.
You are free to go after the minimum period, no penalty.

I just opened up the Nov 2025 bill and indeed they already charged two months. But the first month "Base Plan Subscription" is pro-rated but "Add-ons/Other Fees" are not pro-rated.

29 Nov 2025 - 30 Nov 2025 (Charges are pro-rated to the date of SIM delivery): $1.93
01 Dec 2025 - 31 Dec 2025: $29.00
Discount *From Promocode/Referral/Waiver: -$76.20
BILL AMOUNT: -$24.97

There is an example in the bill.

IMDA is said to review the rule of 10 PostPaid lines per telco per person limit.

Prepaid has the limit of three lines per person across all telcos.

IMHO.
Let's say I have 8 postpaid and they change the limit to 5, how ?
If let's say I allow to retain the 8, if port to other telco, will get block ?

The problem is that they do not limit the total number. So you can sign up more than 100 lines.

They can keep 10 lines per person per telco, but limit the total number of lines across all telcos to something like 30 or even 20.

I want to know how to sign up 10 lines without buying a plan.
