If drug is a problem in his country, why he don't enforce a rule which he knows will surely work? :o
Believe he tried very hard to enforce death penalty but not successful due to the juridical system of US. So now hes killing these drug lords from the border.

Because Venezuela no talent no tech to refine their heavy crude oil. They need usa technology. Although usa sanction Venezuela, they gave special permission to chevron continue operate but with limitations. Venezuela crude oil is a lot but also need high tech refinery to make it sellable
Then they should have cooperated with the oil companies to have a win win situation for all parties concerned.

China can also do what trump did. By picking a nearby country regime that is as badly run as Venezuela.

1. nk
2. Russia
3. Scambodia

Pick one. Any of these countries their people will be thankful to china.

besides this isn’t a precedence. 1950 already happened. And unlike Venezuela, not temporary.

the only thing is that real military action is not like military exercise wayang, it is much more expensive and higher likelihood ends up like Putin drag on with higher casualties than the land invaded.

if anyone is smart over there, it is to manage their economy like what li keqiang aims to, getting jobs for people.
Nobuddy in tiongkok wan 2 touch nk lah. Ish better to keep limping along as a buffer state with US ally called south kolea

You can't have a socialist dictatorship for decades and expect them to go with the flow of democratic countries way of life or do things. Buay gam one.

This kind of socialist is not exactly a communist. But theoretically both ideas are zupzheng type with similarity.

Some say socialism is the 葵花宝典 before tok kkj. Once you reach 第九层 of the skill you must tok kkj to breakthrough become level 10 which 脱胎换骨 become communism.

You see ussr collapsed liao but they went into another kind of authoritarian regime.

You see tiongs they follow ussr but 自宫 master 葵花宝典 liao become 大太监 then they uturn idea abit open up their economy trying to fake be a real man with kkj but in the end now no matter how you fake it you still is no kkj one cuz already chop mah be communist authoritarian regime also.

Another way of looking is Socialism sama you are a male want be zabor then you go female toilet pangjio sure kana other female kbkp you cuz you see maduro mustache so thick leh go female toilet wearing a dress also no one welcome.

And commies is someone with no kkj liao go men toilet try pee standing.. Difficult mah.

That's why they 道不同不相为谋。just look all the 怪胎 bff countries as usual dprk rus cn Venezuela etc

Nonsense
UK withheld hundreds of millions to Iran for decades. The international court agreed the debt is correct

So Iran can.attack UK for it?
EU confiscated billions from Russia Central Bank. But what can Putin do? Nuke Europe? Even Putin has to suck it up because of NATO (under the protection of the US). Russia couldn't afford to have a war with the US.

Venezuela owes some U.S. oil companies billions

U.S. oil companies like Chevron began drilling in Venezuela about one hundred years ago and played a key role in developing the country's oil sector.

But around 2004 to 2007, then-President Hugo Chávez "basically forcefully renegotiated contracts" with international oil companies, says Francisco Monaldi, director of the Latin America Energy Program at the Center for Energy Studies at Rice University.

ExxonMobil and ConocoPhillips left the country in 2007 and then took the Venezuelan government to international arbitration courts. The courts ordered Venezuela to pay ConocoPhillips over $10 billion and ExxonMobil over $1 billion. Venezuela has only paid a fraction of those sums to ExxonMobil and to ConocoPhillips.

Chevron, however, stayed in Venezuela — although " they didn't like it," says Gerald Kepes, president of Competitive Energy Strategies, an energy consultancy in Washington, D.C.

Chevron today produces about a quarter of Venezuela's oil.

In response to the news of Maduro's capture, Chevron spokesperson Bill Turenne said in an email, "Chevron remains focused on the safety and wellbeing of our employees, as well as the integrity of our assets. We continue to operate in full compliance with all relevant laws and regulations."

Trump has said that Venezuela has "stolen" U.S. investment in the country's energy sector.

so you guys will understand why Trump is “robbing” the oil?
If Russia have the right to invade Ukraine.
China have the right to threaten Taiwan everyday.
Uncle Sam have the right to bomb Venezuela and take Greenland as well :(

Thank you Pudding and 洗包子 :(

it seem all countries internally can wield a lot of control and power within its own borders, rule and laws are defined and enforced

but country to country theres tis lawlessness, if 2 countries can work together and gib face issues between them both can be dealt civilly or put on pause indefinitely lik sg and my pedra branca OR thai and cambodia no gib face land border dispute, untied nations lik no mediation dunno if dont bother or powerless, lik no law between countries wanna hoot jus hoot no punishment, the most trade sanctions which can be worked around

Bush moved into Iraq was easy but it cost trillions. US is never going to get the money back and never control Iraq's oil export. Now, Trump? Of course, Venezuela is not Iraq. Probably, the next president will have to clear this mess.
