Must someday test my phone at marsiling/woodland area since there seems to be the weakest link.

Haiz, dont know whick telcom to sign. Im work permit horlder, i hope can sign SH or M1 due to 300 mins outgoing call while ST only offer 200 mins, all 3 plan price range S$56-58. Currently using ST hi card, signal not bad at Marsiling. Then i using SH mobile broadband, also get full signal at my room, but just KB bro mentioned that SH iphone plan dint stated 3G speed up to 7.2mbps....:s22:

Best to sign either M1 or Starhub because not only does Singtel have 100mins less talktime, they are on per minute billing unlike M1 and Starhub per second billing. So your talktime is in fact much lesser with Singtel and can end up paying a lot more every month. Plus M1 got extra free unlimited calls to 3 m1 nos..

In general, M1 network is much better than Starhub. Maybe your m1 data sim or modem has some prob? Or prob your house is M1's reception dead spot. Lol.. :s13: But if the places you frequent have better starhub network, maybe you can just get starhub ba..

I think mostly i will go for starhub, due to can get 30% off if sign with 3 ppl at the same time. Some more, then most i will use the 3G for msn, youtube video if can. So far most of my frens using ST, only few using SH and M1, lol...

I think M1 reception poor at my room, but i try few place still same le. My usb dongle no problem on starhub sim, but my M1 sim is prepaid mobile broadband, bought for speedtest only, :D

1 of the forumer, KB, he found that starhub iphone plan, never stated the speed is up to 7.2mbps while singtel and M1 did mentioned on their website, so KB say all starhub users got screw...

I'm terminating my Starhub line this week, just called Starhub, i got to pay $882.75 penalty. I will port over to singtel, and sell off the iphone from singtel to pay off the penalty. bye bye Starhub.

i just sign up online at www.singtelshop.com.sg, i think i got one of the last few sets, coz now 16GB and 32GB are all out of stock.

Bye bye Starhub, hello! singtel.

Starhub Penalty = S$825
Sign up singtel iphone 16G at $0, if i can sell the phone at $1090.

$1090 - $825 = $265 ( my gain)

Ya lor. Most to most can sell $1000 only la. =:p

Besides, there's nothing much to gain here cos the actual thing u need to calculate is whether your total 24 months contract could be lesser than the so called $1060.

Either way, u still lose money :s13:

guys, if u all experience slow speed on iPhone with speedtest, it could be the iPhone prob.. I used to get 20-30kBps in my room when i was using iphone 3gs.. I got a HTC desire HD recently and immediately my speedtest results shot up to 100-200kBps.. Ping also drop from usual 200-300 to 100+..

Now when i compare my speedtest with my colleagues who are also on Starhub but using iPhone, my speed and ping win them by 2-3 times easily.. Maybe it's some network/carrier settings to do with iPhone..

But overall, starhub still lose to singtel/m1 cos when i compared with singtel/m1 frens who are using HTC desire HD, their results is much better den mine..

Above are just my humble observation..
