Don't worry too much about programming. For DISM, the foundation programming language they use to start you off is indeed Java. They do not expect you to come in with programming experience. Lessons are progressive. My personal advice is not to sit behind the class during Java lessons and play games. Sit in front and ask questions during class if you don't understand (this applies to any module if you want to do well actually).
Actually for DISM, we do less programming than DIT students. Purpose of learning programming is to be able to understand flaws in the code that people write.
IDA scholarship wise, I can't advise you since it came in a batch after mine. My batch is the 3rd, graduating this year.
Hmm okay. Hows your GPA so far? I'm keen on taking the IDA scholarship, but worried over the fact that i can't score well for my GPA although i am pretty sure i won't be using my laptop for gaming in class xD.
Another question i just remembered is that i just bought my laptop recently, its possible to use it for my poly schooling right?
