I bought Corsair Dominator Platinum 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1866 MHZ from cyber monday lightning deals 129.99USD! based on the prices i checked in SLS, it was a really good deal. because i seldom buy things online but i hope this buy isnt a mistake.

looking to build a new com the following week and i have my ram settled. haha.. im really new to OC but i would really like to learn and OC my new com.

needed to replace my dead ODD (RIP Pioneer :( ) and got a spare PSU.
(now I hope I don't already have a spare PSU in my cupboards -_-)

Only when some part of the main platform dies - like cpu, mobo or memory.
Otherwise, there's little reason to overhaul. An SSD would make it work like a new system, whereas if I need to indulge in games at home, any reasonable mid-range card would work fine in the existing system and it won't be choked.

I want to see how long can I push this along unless I need to do more compute intensive tasks :-x
