Moi thought Linus & Slick said before in live stream that Win8 is boots faster & is more responsive than Win7?

Hmm. But to me, i think with the log in screen and metro UI, it takes longer to boot to desktop in win 8 to win 7.. Same SSD though. Without the log in screen and metro, windows 8 boots faster...

Disable everything except SSD? Mine lagged extra 3-5 seconds on startup when I didn't disable anything and had a USB thumbdrive in one of the ports (Lenovo laptop/Phoenix BIOS)

I run bootracer thats why i know.. Cos windows 8 will go to the metro UI, so cannot get to see de bootracer timing.. But, anyway, it wasn't me that complain about slow boot up..
