Just ordered my PW and the ink blue leather case yesterday. I'm using borderlinx service. Can't wait for it to come. Have been wanting to buy e-ink reader for long, but since I mostly read in the dark, I'm using iPad instead

Hey guys! I can see that most of you are rather happy with your Kindle PW. I'm rather excited about purchasing an e-reader for myself too!

However, I'm considering between Kindle PW, and the newest Kindle (Kindle 5). Anyone knows any other differences other than it having the build in light? Such as the dictionary option, and the time it takes to complete the book, etc.

Hope someone would be able to help me make up my mind. Thanks in advanced!

after so many months of usage (on the streets under sunlight and reading besides my gf in the room without lights ) I would think the PW's light is darn good. the screen doesn't encourage glare and the light is wonderful for reading in low-light/darkness.

if u read in low light or darkness den go for PW. I haven't tried the kindle 5...so I'd reserve comments on that...

Guys, any of you have colour hues on the screen? Apparently, other users on other forusm (mobileread) have found colour hes of green/pink on their screens and have replaced it with Amazon numerous times.

I am getting mine in a couple of days and pretty nervous since we can't easily request an exchange from Amazon.

My take is to disregard what you've read. Sometimes we tend to see problems when they are highlighted, even though it's quite fine. (like trainee doctors who feel they have every ailment in the book!) The screen is not LCD so it won't have even lighting. Light has to shine on it; the individual pixels are not lighted.

so fast har.... i've just received mail from amazon that my $200+ paperweight has shipped... estimated date is 12 jan to reach hopshopgo....

we can compare borderlinx and hopshopgo shipping rate.... wonder how much to ship to singapore....

Have asked borderlinx to ship mine, USD21.40 for budget, while express will cost me USD26.40, decided to go for budget
