the way i count it, by the end of the 2yr contract... i would have paid Starhub almost 1.8k for the plan+phone.

Surprising that so far no mobile vendors i asked thus far are selling Xperia V cases or even the 4.3" screen protector.

it's especially hard to find cases and SP for non-mainstream phones, and unfortunately some people say the dragontrail glass isn't as strong as gorilla glass.

Gorilla Glass got different grades depending on the manufacturer requirement. Its entirely possible they are using cheapest gorilla glass but we are paying for the best grade there is. Its still gorilla glass after all.

passing by Boon Lay Interchange later. Hope the vendor open today.

I also went to Boon Lay interchange yesterday and got an anti glare SP for $10. Yes she's selling the silicon cases at $10 and got a few colors but i didn't buy it.

What format are you using for the movies?

I dont have such problems for any movies that I put in on my 64GB microsd card. The horizontal scroll bar is able to scroll through the whole movie length.

i playing Naruto Movie 5 lol.. the length shown is just 00:02:17 only, but apparently it will still continues to play just that I can't scroll further. The file is type .avi

I wonder what is the problem here. When I tried with MX player, it was the same too until i switched the settings to S/W decorder, then the length shown was 01:57:45

btw, when I copy the video, it prompt me whether if I wants to convert the file or not (recommended) so I did.

I tried another one without converting the file, this time the bar displayed the full length, but stop playing (failed playback) in the beginning. Perhaps the Xperia V movie app doesn't support original files, and when they do convert, they bring down the size just that we can't scroll in full length only? ( guess its a bug)

u used the sony software to copy movies or the MTP mode?

I think you should just copy over as normal usb drive. select mass storage mode in the Xperia/Connectivity settings before plugging in your phone to computer. that way you use it as a sd card... no need to convert videos. can try VLC player beta also.

So the Xperia v unofficially supports 64gb?

The silicon case.

As can see, there is a fair amount of the case protruding from the ends so that if phone fall on the ground, at least wont drop right on the lcd surface. The SP is quite adequate in which do not see any smudges when the lcd is on. Good thing this phone is dust resistant as can clearly see, not only where i work but even my jeans also have dust.

The back is nice to hold.

I am okay with the Xperia V just that what they were thinking with the front facing camera. Its front camera photo quality is as bad or worse then chinese budget "spy" cams. Guess they had to cripple it otherwise will directly compete with other models. As for the back camera, as long do not zoom in...pretty good actually. Need to be 4:3 to get the 13 megapixels.

Is this silicone material or TPU? Was looking through ebay and saw similar design as yours but they state it as TPU.
From my experience with TPU/Silicone cases, silicone cases can never get the shiny reflective surface I see in your pictures.
