QFT.
cannot be consider the best one since it is the only one lol :)
stock with a worked on kernel is good enuff.
nothing much to really complain about..

that's not the only one what, there's another one called Bullet. And there are semi stock ones too, stock with deodexing done, rooted, busybox, init.d support etc. so still got a couple of very limited choices..

which kernel you all using?

the sweden one good enough?

i'm using perseus, but honestly in terms of performance, I don't feel a thing compared to stock. what i do feel is all the goodies that stweaks can do on perseus and the much faster USB charging by itself is already worth changing to perseus. If u prefer neak, neak also can change the USB charging rate.

u can't. only neak can tweak the charging current. stweaks for siyah kernel, if you were on another phone which supported it like the S3, then can tweak the charging current. for note 2 perseus, it's hard coded to 900mah i think

the custom roms for lte version are pathetic in quantity to be honest.. and nowhere near the buffet of roms u get from the 3G version.

the best of the lot is the one that has the aroma installer from the guy from hk i think.. it's the most popular one in xda n7105 sub forums.. u can't miss it.

Hi,

The ROM is suitable for our Note 2 LTE or the 3G version? ROM is Revolution HD?

Hi,

As mentioned in the post that you had quoted, please refer only to the LTE sub section on xda and you'll be safe.

Bro, just did the custom today using the aroma. Was in panic mode when I selected CSC from internal ROM. Luckily got expert friend around and also did some reading at the same thread. Reflash it using the HKG CSC. All is well now.

Some questions there are :
1.Stock kernel
2.Perseus.alpha29.1
3.N.E.A.K. V1.3x (include app)
4..Note2Core V2.10 STD

These few kernels. I'm currently using the Perseus. What are the difference btw these few. Some of my concern is battery life, SQ for music player.

Also, what does the dpi adjustment do? Is it very problematic if I select the non default one?

Newbie here appreciate your comment.

Try clearing cache and dalvik cache and let it regen. Also try clearing the app data for the Store.

Edit:
It's done! Anyway thanks! I just use mobile odin pro to flash it!!! as I do not intend to flash the new 4.2 firmware, I'm just happy to flash some of the new apps from the 4.2 to my 4.1.1 , now I got the new 4.2 camera and gallery on my default rom ;)

For kernels, in terms of performance or batt savings, honestly I don't feel any diff between stock, perseus or neak. Never tried Note2Core so can't comment but based on the thread itself, Note2Core seems to have the least features so I can Cah't be bothered with trying it.

If u like SQ, then Perseus is probably a bit better cos there are tweaks for audio equalizer and also the speaker... don't remember NEAK having those tweaks, but NEAK can do more stuff in terms of hotplugging and like manually controlling the number of cores and all that advanced stuff. And NEAK can control the charging current for USB and AC, which STweaks can't.

When I installed the rom, I didn't see any DPI adjustment, I know it's supposed to be there because I've read about it, but somehow I didn't see it at all. Anyway my DPI is at 320 according to my build.prop and I'm not sure if that's the default one or not also. I suspect it is because everything looks the same as stock. I've previously read about changing the DPI will not allow the Market to work or certain apps can't be downloaded or something like that. And existing apps might also work funny if you change the DPI. Changing the DPI basically makes the stuff on the screen smaller or bigger.
