Just curious, if using router, how come not place anywhere also same meh? Need to drag inside to use seems mor like lan than wireless, no? Or is fibre different, so need to do that?

Hi Ethan,

Wireless is always slower than Lan, so i think for some power users they want to get lan cable to enjoy the full speed.

Wireless routers on single band can hurt speeds up to 70-80% of router in a 1 room apart.

We bundle a dual band good router Asus N56U with our Pure HD and Gamer plans which is quite worth it as it gives much better wireless.

It's all depends on the router that u are using. N56 is great, but i heard N66 is magical... hahhaha... depends where u place the router also plays apart.

Other Fibre Broadband providers gives free home phone line and allows retention of home phone number.
I understand I am unable to do retention of home phone number with My Republic:

Does anyone have any advice on how I can sign up with My Republic, retain my home phone number, and cut down on cost of monthly subscription of the home phone line?

If you retain your home phone line, cheapest is via SingTel analog line, which is about $25 per 3 months.
