What sort of slow speed issues are you experiencing?

Care to list down some specifics?

and what kind of things do you want ASUS to do with their 270 firmware?

Yes, the 4G LTE USB modem, Huawei E3276 should be able to run on the ASUS RT-AC66. In fact the ASUS RT-N66/AC66 support most of the countries 3G/4G supplied by far as compared to other brands of routers hands down

anyone can check the AC66 or even the older N66 support the E3276?

If the ac66 when not in use switch off power , will it decrease the lifesepent of it? Must be on 24/7 so that it won't so easy spoilt compare to I switch it off when not In use?

When your router not in use, it won't decrease hardware life-spent .

Looking to get this super router. Where is the cheapest place I can get it in SG?

It's 190USD=237 SGD on amazon... add another 30 dollars delivery and it will be 270 bucks... but no warranty.

Spotted this while browsing :D

ASUS RT-AC66U Elite AC router that beats the crap out of the other competitors AC routers

~ AirLive N450R
~ Belkin AC1200 DB
~ Buffalo AC1300/N900
~ Linksys EA6566/AC1750
~ Netgear R6300

Then there’s Asus, which won this contest hardly breaking a sweat. The company simply out-engineered its competition and came up with a best-in-class feature set. Even more amazing is that the RT-AC66U accomplished this in essentially a first-generation product and delivered it at a price point that handily bests its closest competition. For all of the above, we believe the RT-AC66U deserves our infrequently-bestowed Elite award.

Just bought the AC66U today.... How much is the PCI and USB card going to be?

heard from a staff(not to mention), that they going to sell the AC66 router for $299 limited stocks only!
after that jump to the usual price of $319 which is the new rrp (previous RP$339)

as for the adapter no info yet, should be as usual price for stand alone purchase. they also have a special bundle if purchase together with the router.

:) hope his info is correct. :s8:

ASUS SG will be debuting and selling both the PCE-AC66 and the USB-AC53 during the IT show 2013

As for SLS and outskirts retailers, stocks be available after the IT show 2013

As for pricing, please check out the official IT 2013 show sales pamphlet coming out tomorrow

actually I never understood why Asus even bother coming up with usb2.0 usb-ac53. it's very clear the bottleneck lies with the usb2.0.

Well, almost all of the current AC adaptor vendors are using Broadcom BCM 45326 5G WiFi 2-Stream 802.11ac Transceiver which is only USB 2.0 interface, as why there isn't USB 3.0 interface as yet, you might want to ask Broadcom

As for if there is an increase speed difference on AC 5GHz vs over non AC 5GHz? Answer is yes even your fiber plan is 500Mbps
