just gotten my MR fibre plan over the weekend, so far using it on wifi mode and getting 30mbps+ d/l and u/l... decently happy with it when compare to my ST ADSL 6mbps speed... however was hope to get better speeds since it is suppose to be 100mbps plan. BTW using stock router.

i am very noob in this so if there is anyway to optimize it, then i hope to learn from this forum.

get Asus n56u or n66u router, i am using n66u, can get 85-90+ mbps via wireless on a 100 mbps plan with no obstruction between me and router.

I got MR installed a few weeks ago, even though I originally contracted some months ago at the AMK store opening special of 12 months at $28/m. So far, so good. I'm getting 100mbps direct, 30 mbps on 2.4G Wifi, 70 mbps on 5G Wifi (Asus RT66N) and 80 mbps on MoCa. I get about 50 mbps to HK and about 20-50 mbps to USA even for downloading using Flashget. StrongVPN works fine and I get 3-10 mbps. Netflix HD over StrongVPN usually comes on after a few minutes. Nice solid 1080p connection to the iTunes store with my Apple TV3. I had just one slowdown with iTunes, but that's it and a happy camper overall.

Great to hear your feedback tsammyc! Let us know if you need anything else in the days to come :) . If you need Netflix, Hulu, Pandora, BBC iPlayer etc etc you can also consider signing up for our Teleport service - wherein you wouldn't need to set up a VPN :)

Hmm, stock router RT-N15U? If so that's a decent speed to be getting on 2.4GHz as there are many factors to consider when testing for speed - since 2.4GHz is usually quite crowded nowadays. You may want to check the following table for more information:

Hi there Plastick,

1. Are you using a DECT phone? Typically it shouldn't affect your phone's connectivity, so probably you wanna try another phone instead first? :)

2. Let me check on that for you - mind dropping me a PM with your customer ID? Thanks.

Bolts

1. ok, i'll see if i got a spare phone to troubleshoot.

2. i've logged in MR site and checked the billing column. it's for the home voice. when i signed up last july, was told there is free 12mths home voice. but the service wasnt up due to number retention issues so i didn't ask for it till someone from MR called me up asking for feedback. i asked her about the home voice then was told i would not need to pay even if i take up now(back in feb).
please assist. you've got pm :)

thanks

Hi. I would like to ask if MR will automatically deduct its bill from the card? Cause my payment method is through debit and it had more than enough funds in it to pay for the bill and yet MR said I did not pay the bills. Can someone enlighten me regarding this issue? They going to suspend my fibre if I do not pay before the next 7 working days.

Hey keanteac,

Yeap we have our own Home Voice service, unfortunately we are still looking into offering number porting / number retention. Currently it's a $49 one time charge and free until December 2013, and $2.88 per month thereafter. First 1000 minutes local free, $0.02 per minute thereafter :)

I am experiencing intermittent slow access with the website below. Tested ok on another Starhub link. Is this related to the issue of slow access to Europe?

Sales in Singapore (Apr 2013) | OfferStation.com

Hi,

The following website (sg.offerstation.com) is hosted in Singapore, so there may be something else that is causing the slow connection (ping test returns at ~11ms). When I tested it, first load was slightly slow but thereafter it was pretty fast.

just an update on my situation.

MR staffs came this morning (for the second time), and the same thing happened.. They left after undoing the installation. I tot when MR made a second appointment with us, the back-end issue should be fixed already?? How come waste manpower to come down?

Seriously.. I want to stop using my phone to tether already.. please expedite my case..
Thanks.

(btw, also pm-ed nivleK1985 earlier the day..)
