I really think that's the problem. After all I feel GPA in poly > GPA in ITE even if yours in poly is 3.5 or so. Just saying, may not be true since I'm not from poly.

The local university will not take ITE result into consideration. They view solely on polytechnic GPA and it is case by case basis. Quite a few of our Poly/ITE graduate has received their offer from NTU/NUS/SMU already.

Hi, interested to know if anyone here from poly has been accepted into NUS Electrical Engineering? Does anybody know if it is tougher in general compared to NTU EEE?

Also, would like to know from existing students if there's a site which lists the textbooks for each module? How to prepare for QET? Sorry a lot of qns lol.

Same here ,GPA 3.98 applied for biz and I havent got any news from them after the interview on 8th Apr

When was yr interview? You also applied for SMu biz?

My GPA is same as urs.
I went to SMU biz interview on 4th April, and still no news yet.

What did you apply for other unis?
I applied NUS - industrial & systems engineering
NTU: 1st choice - business, 2nd choice - accountancy, 3rd choice - maritime studies with business major

Hi! Just checked the joint acceptance portal and it's confirmed that I got into NTU comm studies! So I think it doesn't mean that if they don't call you up for interview, you're definitely rejected. I applied via NAA scheme as well and I wasn't called up for any NTU interview so hope this helps whoever who's waiting for NAA interview!

hello!! congrats! i also made it to NTU comms studies! Are you matriculating this year as well? I applied under NAA and went for the interview and was accepted after that. But it's good that you didn't have to go for the interview though! It was quite stressful. Haha. If you are matriculating this year, would you like to PM me your number so that hopefully I can create a whatsapp group so that we can all get to know each other a lil' bit better first. XD

I didn't apply smu . I applied nus and ntu bioengineering and mechanical. My gpa is 3.95 with merit, applied with ite cert of gpa 4.00 . Sigh

Try to appeal as soon as u know u r rejected. I think ur chances of getting into uni after appealing is high too.. dont lose the hope.. dont forget to appeal if u are happened to be rejected.

I also thinking how to write appeal letter . Hope no need appeal . If need , then I really wish I will be accepted

Some of my foreigner friends who have gpa above 3.9were accepted by ntu and nus . They dun even have o level . So that means I applied using ite result so they look down me ? may be I m not local so they dun want me

Nope. Not they look down on you, I believe it's just that ITE standards aren't suitable to direct to uni. You should have applied with your poly results. I think that stands like 20x more effective.

H2 Math B, H2 Chem C, H2 Bio C, H2 Econs D, GP A, PW A

I was quite surprised that I got the offer without an interview because the 10th percentile for NTU mass comm is ABC/B if I'm not wrong!
I honestly applied for this with fingers crossed and I wasn't anticipating much. Hopefully this will encourage you to not lose hope

Just some heads-up guys,

My friend and I went for NTU's WKWSCI NAA interview on the 10th April and 2 weeks later, we were asked to upload the supporting documents. We were quite puzzled and kept speculating the reason behind them asking us to upload. On one hand we gave ourselves hopes that they wanted our documents to verify our achievements etc. On the other hand, we were thinking could it be that we got rejected but they still needed our documents to keep as records in their database.

So after uploading and another 10+ days of wait, we finally got an offer! If I'm not wrong, 2 of his friends who went for the same interview, were later asked for their documents and all 4 of us received the offer. So we kind of concluded that it's probably a good thing that they asked us to upload the supporting documents!

And even for those who have not received any news/interview, fret not! I believe they still have quite a few batches left, and since rejection letters have been sent out, no news is good news at the moment! Just be patient and I'm sure the offer will come sooner or later!

There have also been cases of applicants applying under DA/NAA but were only later asked to submit their documents and got offered after that. There are also cases of applicants who applied under DA/NAA, and were not called down for interview nor asked to upload, and still got their offers at the end of the day.

It's therefore quite a rigorous selection process, and I was told they actually look at your grade profile, concurrently with your achievements.

Cheer up guys! Even if you get rejected, you can always appeal! All the best to you all in getting the course that you desire.

No o level . Some applied EEE some applied Com eng . I applied bioengineering . . Btw I was the only foreigner in my course in poly
