The other potential manager told SAF that if they will be United manager mean all the current coaches have to leave the club and also half the United squad have to leave so that new players can come in.

SAF refuse and only this DM agreed to keep current coaches and players.

Fellanini is not too bad, if you watch Everton game against City, the was the one that City cannot contain. There is a right back in Everton which is very outstanding can sign him as well....

I dont mind Fellaini joining though i feel there are better players out there.

But they might not wana join since they cant work with the legend Sir Alex anymore.. :o

Moyes may not be able to attract many but the brand ManUtd is enough to bring in the players....when Pep took over Baca, who will expect him to perform so well.

now our next qns is, who can moyes attract. lol

Now that it's confirmed, what are we as United fans gonna do? Continue to bitch about it as what's happened to the OTHER club -or support the man through thick and thin? I prefer to sit back with no expectations, and enjoy whatever surprises that may unfold.

We can have all our views but remember he is the choice of SAF, Charlton, etc. And it doesn't look like our hands were forced -seems we made a deliberate choice of him over Mourinho. Who are we to presume we know better than them?

He shares very similar values with SAF, and now he has the stage to prove himself. Let's just enjoy new United team under his directions, if not the tedium of another title fight.

rmb, our brand name ManUtd plus Sir Alex was not enuff to attract some players as well. so its wrong to say manager is not a factor, they wanna know if the man in charge is someone they would like to work with.

whats the point of bitching who's appointed? i dun see any. :s13:

as i mentioned, we only hav a small pool of managers that suit, and of those available (those say wanting out from current club, or contract ending) is only JM DM. either 1 are good managers, we just have to, like u said, sit back and enjoy how the team move forward from here. starting....1 july

Actually is not the manager but $$$$ that deter that....basically many wanted to come but just the $$$ is not to their liking.

i doubt he wan to join if he feels SAF will puppet him. and i think Utd is not managed like that.
SAF talked abt giving mgrs the rightful respect and control. esp when he saw ppl like mourinho pardew curbishley quit for the same 'controlled' reasons

moyes, or any manager would like to be able to express themselves fully at a club. u think everybody wanna be like pink loong?

Rio Ferdinand and Michael Carrick welcome David Moyes to Manchester United

Ferdinand, who has played under Ferguson for over a decade at Old Trafford, said: "It was important the club made a decision quickly and got it all sorted before people could start making rumours.

"The club have acted impeccably in that respect.

"It's great to see the new manager coming in, we've never had a problem with him here at United, he's a very honest man from the players you speak to and he's done a fantastic job at his previous club Everton

"I'm sure he'll be very, very open and sympathetic to the traditions of the club and try and continue that and not come in and try and make crazy changes in terms of the whole characteristics of the club."

United and England midfielder Carrick has also been impressed by Moyes' work at Everton and is eagerly awaiting the start of a new era.

"He's honest and fair to his players as far as I'm aware. He sets high standards just as he expects high standards of ourselves."
Michael Carrick

"He's done a terrific job at Everton," he said.

"He's been there a long time and has had great success with the resources he's had. It's obviously a big change because this club's been run for so long by one person.

"I'm really looking forward to meeting him and getting good training in pre-season and looking forward to a good future.

baines is a quality left back . he will be a good buy, even SAF wanted to buy him.

fellaini. he can be very useful in the p.box. we need a imposing presence in the centre of midfield. i think he can make it at OT

“The DNA of a David Moyes team is clear: hard work, spirit, togetherness and fight," says Phil Neville.

I'm for Rooney to leave...if someone in the team like him trying to destabilize the team by always saying he want to leave then by all means leave.

I m in support of whoever that comes in and take over. Ytd over supper with liverpool and arsenal fans. All were mocking at the confirmation of DM, saying its finally their club to win EPL.

I arm chio-ed.

And i do think DM needs time. Its another transition time, like when ManC won the EPL. it was a transition time for the team.
