Welcome. But Wait First before you proceed with anything updates, etc.

For firmware and installation methods. Ensure that you are taking the correct files. Because different hardwares have different firmware/hardware builds, different firmware to take note. Hence dont use other series's firmware to update, unless said so. I'm sorry as I cant further advise as I own the 320 only.

Do try searching around D-Link's site for updates (if any) or see if the community can advise you on it.

FYI, D-Link has introduce B1 revision for DNS-320 which look similar to DNS-320L. Firmware is incompatible between the hardware built and needless to said will not work on DNS-320L.

For those who owned the DNS-320L, there is a separate discussion topic on it so kindly post it there.

Help, I am able to access my volume 1, volume 2, P2P via file explore. However, when i try to access my NAS via IE to do things like running my admin task, it gives me a "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage"

I used to be able to do it but i cannot now. Is it something that I have done wrongly?

Help. Cannot locate P2P folder

Hi everyone,

I have the DNS 320. I just upgrade firmware from 1.01 to 2.03.

After the upgrade, I am not able to locate my P2P folder. I was able to do so when I was with 1.01.

On the Management Tab>Application Mgmt > UPnP AV Server is enabled. I am able to see 2 Shared Folders: 1) Volume _1/MyVideos and 2) Volume_1/P2P. Both with the blue tick mark.

The funny thing is, I am able to locate the MyVideos folder on my Windows explorer but I cannot locate the P2P folder.

If I go to Applications tab > Web File Server. If I click on the Volume_1, I can see all folders, including P2p folder but again, no luck on Windows Explorer.

Any help, advise and assist would be appreciated.

IIRC, since firmware 2.02 onward, P2P folder will not appear in Windows browse but exist as Shared Folder. Just create it if one doesn't exist after firmware upgrade.

Thanks for your reply and advise.

I read your earlier reply on this matter and I followed your instructions on an earlier post i.e.

1) Disable PnP
2) Reset to Factory Defaults( Save settings if need be)
3) Enable PnP.

Thankfully, I am able to view my p2P folder. This is now on the Network Folder > NAS folder. As per earlier postings, there are now 2 shared folders in the NAS drives, the Volume_1 and p2p folder.

puzzled ...

placed brand new 3TB HDD into my nas 320
formatted as single volume
copied files onto hdd ...
total = 732GB

wanted to copy more files onto it ...
prompted not enough space ...
Space Sniffer showed no unused hdd space also ... blur
pls advise


nas system status shows HDD = 3000 GB
f/w = 2.00

"The factory installed DNS-320 and DNS-325 firmware do not support 3TB HDDs. If a 3TB HDD is formatted with a DNS-320 running firmware version 2.00 or earlier or DNS-325 running firmware version 1.01 or earlier, the HDDs will format to 1.96 TB of usable storage space.

To format 3TB HDDs to their fullest capacity, upgrade the latest firmware on the DNS-320 (v2.01 or greater) and DNS-325 (v1.02b03 or greater).

The firmware must be upgraded before formatting the HDDs."

Got upgraded to a Singtel Fibre 100Mbps and now i cannot access my DNS 320 remotely at all...

But it sure can be accessed within my LAN... It's under my homegroup for Win7.... -_-"..

Anyone has any help on this?

Do take note that DNS-320 rev A model is already phased-out in Sep 2012, software support is likely to be over pretty soon.

the issue that I have now is that I can't seem to port forward it through my ST Pace router! Any advice?

I'm a couple of steps away from yanking it out from my network and just throw it down the bin soon..
