looks like your not covering many places... pretty evenly spread out

You can actually cover more places if you want

is this your 1st taiwan trip?

Day 1 (Tue)

Wu Fen Pu ( Hou Shan Pi MRT) Opens around 2pm
not exactly cheap unless you buy a lot... BTW your day 1 seems pretty empty... arriving late??
Raohe Night Market

Day 2 (Wed)

Shi Fen (Sky Lantern)

Can travel along the Ping Hsi Railway line
i think you can make time for Jiufen, since its in the same area

Day 3 (Thu)

Bei Tou Hot Spring

Hell Valley Museum
don't need to spend whole day at beitou, you can head further down to Damshui then back to shilin night market since its along the same line

Shi Lin Night Market

Day 4 (Fri)

Shopping @ Xi Meng Ding or other shopping malls.
shops don't open that early... you may want to plan day trips... like Maokong gondola... night view and tea plantations, or you may wanna consider going to Wulai, its a hot spring area and of course wulai waterfalls

Day 5 (Sat)

Monument visit:

Eg: -Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall (21 Chung-Shan S Rd)

-Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall ((Jenai Road, Section 4, Sungshung District)

*Can go to Taipei 101 (45, Shifu Rd., Xinyi Dist) coz nearby
I don't really fancy historical sites unless there is a guide

Maokong is at the zoo station
Beitou to me seems more commercialized whereas Wulai is outside of the city area, closer to nature?

i already mentioned before on another thread, but if you're heading to taipei 101 can consider taking a 10-15 walk to a cafe called good cho's, it's located in a old war veteran's village/settlement, very interesting setting.

anyway i visited a couple of the attractions you're planning to go, review on my blog here. you can have a look if you're keen.

personally i haven't been to maokong but heard it's very nice.

Hi,

If I am planning for a day to spend at:
Jin kua shi, jiu fen, shifen and kee long night market.

How can I plan my transportation? I am very confused after reading up the transportation. Anyone can share pls?

You can either take bus, or a combo of train to Ruifang+bus. I find the easiest and least confusing way is to just take a direct bus from Taipei. You can catch one just outside Zhong Xiao Fu xing MRT station (bus stop along FuXing Nan Lu Er Duan 复兴南路二段). Bus stop location below:

25.042193, 121.543706
+25° 2' 31.89", +121° 32' 37.34"

staticmap

The bus will be labelled JingGuaShi clearly. Just jump on board, and it will take you to Jiu Fen, Shi Fen and JingGuaShi (about 90 mins).

I feel its the easiest and least confusing way since its a direct bus.
