To be honest, no coaching staff in that entire dressing room has any experience winning championships except Giggs and Phil Neville and you do have to take into account these 2 new minted coaching staff got their experiences as players.

Keeping Rene would have gave us that experience in terms of the coaching staff side.

But oh wells, it's Moyes who makes the decision.

imagine if u will Rene is in the setup now ...
and with the run of results that we are going thru now ... what do u think is gonna happen ?
Rene before he left he already has misgivings about DM ...
so if he is asst now ... sure got infighting one !
and the worst thing in terms of being as a club, the players will side with Rene ... leading to a coup

from day 1 we need improvement but every one don't want to cum....

if by jan 14 we still mid table ...moyes will be able to sign only similar type of players like robbie savage , joey barton or robert green cos top players know we can't challage

Playing Buttner was suicidal. I always thought Moyes did a lot of video study on his opponents. Amalfitano is a very good winger even though he's new to the league. Destroyed Sunderland's left flank the previous week and he decides to play a weak left back.
Not as if Buttner played well against Liverpool and deserve a chance to play like Chicharito.

Could have considered Phelan too. Any experience winning championships is better then nothing.
