I everytime after watching TV will switch off main switch also but didn't jump to antenna mode. Maybe you could call up their Cust Service center or ask them on LG Singapore facebook page. :)

can i ask if you have the antenna plugged into the TV as well ?

LG support asked me to plug out the antenna from the TV and just use the starhub cable.

You should try the set and if there's any defects you should ask for a new set. Normally most retailers have 1to1 exchange within a week. :)

I find the remote control can work only if it's within about 2 to 2.5m .further than that it doesn't work. what's your experience?
Hey i tried it and it works further than 2+ meters. My living room has width of around 2.9 to 3meters. :)

just a quick review on the antenna i bought to use with this tv.
purchased the Mohu Leaf (leap of faith) w/o knowing if it works for us. can't find any info on this used locally on the net.

it is really paper thin.
comes with a coaxial cable male on both end.
one is for the antenna the other is for the tv.

Oops. Tv takes f connector only so went out and got an adaptor. came back happily fix it up hoping to see magic like what i saw on youtube (people just chuck the antenna away hidden and signal is still good.)

upon trying to scan for channels.. sian haif..
(i just place the leaf behind the tv)
it counldn't pick up any analogue signal less digital ones..

i spent the next 2 - 3 hours trying to find a location in the room tat can receive good enuff signal at least for digital 5 and 8.
placing the leaf out of the window works best! but that totally defeats its intended cosmetic purpose...

finally, i settle with hanging the leaf with a clothes hanger right beside the window this yield 100% signal quality and minimal 60% signal strength.

me staying at low floor could be one reason i'm getting bad signal strength :( i live on the 5th floor

miracast works ok. the phone has to be quite near the tv, about 2 metres, or else the throughput will drop and video stutters.

Sorry, would like to ask a not so related question about this model.

Do you think it will be available in the coming IT Show and if yes, can I expect a lower price or more freebies?
Otherwise, can I say $699 is the best available now?

Do you mean the IT SHOW on the 27 Feb to 2 Mar? Most likely there will be like only one to two brands at there, most likely Samsung TVs.
Yes the 42LN570T market price is around $699. Maybe you could get a better price at expo events. :)
