FOR YOUR INFORMATION: -
CHANNEL 116 is Suria HD, Channel 154 is Channel 8 HD ad 156 is Vasantham HD. No wonder I realised that Channel 116 was originally 8-on-demand but it is changed by Suria HD.
Just a heads up.

I saw 3 empty channels created on StarHub STB (Channel 116, 154 and 156 respectively). There is no HD logo but the audio description were displayed as Malay, Chinese and Tamil respectively. Mmm I wonder what is it...

FYI. Previously Channel 116 was 8-on-demand from MediaCorp, which just ceased transmission recently.

The audio has 3 streams. One of them could be a dummy, ie with audio info displayed but with zero sound (muted). When I record HD program with Draco and playback on pc using VLC media player, I can choose to play from any one of the three steams. The second one always has no audio.

Edit: Watching HD on Tv with Draco produce no sound from second stream.

i re-tested my draco and confirmed that my draco got sound for ALL. no mute streams.
5(HD) DVB-T2 got 3 audio streams: Sound 1 (Dolby D+), eng (AAC), Sound 3 (AAC).

u can goto Settings and set HDMI/Digital Audio Output: <PCM> or <BS Out>.

PCM - this means the draco stb will decode the audio and send to tv. since draco carries MDA's stereo-only label, so it can only support stereo audio. however, i tested that all 3 audio tracks can be decoded as stereo (no dolby), my tv got sound for all and show as "stereo".

BS Out - this means the draco stb will output raw audio (without decoding) to tv and let tv decode the audio. my sony bravia tv is able to decode all Dolby and AAC. tv will show "Dolby" or "Stereo" respectively.

because of this "BS Out" option, i think MDA has put the wrong label. draco stb should be Surround-Ready.

What happened to Indosiar and SCTV which were supposed to be on DVB-T2?
Wonder anything to do with fact that both carry some EPL matches Live.;)
From one of the Indonesian webpage:" Batam, Kepulauan Riau: Indosiar, SCTV, MNC TV, Global, RCTI, Trans 7, TRANSTV"

Only 2 out of the 3 audio channels sound.

1 is the non-surround sound, the other is the surround sound.

Sound quality is good.

Can I confirm that surround sound is only from HDMI, since there seems to be no coaxial digit audio out.? TQ

The both of them is multiplex from the same mux/transmitter, and has been off-air for quite a while now. Claiming "technical problem" at their transmitter. Info from their InfoCom Ministry.

Hahaha, about them carrying EPL/Champions League matches live, maybe? God knows.

HD signal mode vs SD signal mode

Mine new bought Panasonic TV TH-L42E6K was good to receive all 7 digital Ch days ago. Today at 6.15am, ch U suddenly turn to be ' NO SIGNAL' . It is also show no signal on CNA and Okto , while Ch 5(HD),8(HD),Suria(HD)and Vas(HD) is watchable with super HD quality ! After check the signal strength , it show 6/10 in strength for all the digital TV channel , but only SD channel is out , my Q is why only HD channels are watchable but SD mode is showing no signal? Mine location is at Kulai ,35 km away from Singapore B4 own digital TV , the analogue signal in my area for ch U and Octo were weak , but watchable during cloudy weather .....appreciate if TV expert give an advice !:s22::s22:
