Sony Xperia Z2 - Sirius-ly A Good Phone

I'm still thinking about getting the z2. Any heat issues? I've some posts saying the camera app closes when the phone overheats?

I messed around with the demo unit, and it heats up pretty quickly with me just using the camera app. is the overheating going to be a big issue in the future?

it does heat up when you run resource-intense applications, but i haven't experienced any shut off, app closing on its own, or anything of that sort... i do keep the number of applications running to a minimum though, i won't leave unused applications running. those demo units have insane number of applications in the background if you realise.

however i have read somewhere (some review) that 4k video will overheat the system after a few minutes though, and closing the video/camera app.

Can i use my samsung charger (2.0 output) to charge my z2?
And the notification sound when i play it to test is loud, but after i applied that sound in whatsapp it become much softer when a message came in, is that normal?

hey guys, same here, i am also encountering this worrying issue, i was not using 4K shooting but rather the manual mode, was just toying ard with the 20.7mp shooting and just 5 to 8 shots only, the same overheat msg came out which shut down my camera app, and indeed the back part especially the camera area became hot...

is this a normal issue or should i bring back to m1 for a change?

glad i got this instead of smartband and dock. i still can't think of a use for band. dock is just a piece of plastic + magnetic cable fitted into it, and i just need the magnetic cable without the piece of plastic.

Yeah, just enter the service secret menu and run the screen test.

Using it now. Fits fine. Used Imak on my Z1 too.

I tried connecting my Klipsch S4i w/ microphone and it doesn't work!

I tried another earphone I have without microphone and it works fine

S4i is designed for iPhone only.

No,the mic means the poles are already different. Z2 have noise cancellation hence high chance current earphones with mic will not work

Incorrect. The main requirement is that the headphones are designed for android voltage and resistance. The noise cancellation data is passed along microphone line.

woo just found out another awesome sony feature. can do native wireless files transfer. no need install any apps.

Plug usb cable -> open my computer -> right click xperia z2 -> network configuration -> then go through all the next next next.

when you want to connect wireless then simply go to settings -> xperia connectivity -> usb connectivity -> choose your paired device . and now you are forever connected. heh

means after you buy a magnetic cable = no need open flaps anymore no need worry about flaps becoming loose.

Thank you for sharing this... tried pairing my Z1 Compact with my PC (Windows Vista) wirelessly and it works. Now I can transfer photos, music without opening the flaps. Thank you very much.
