Is the overheat due to recording video in 4K? Is there a time limit for 4K video recording (Note 3 limit to 5 mins)?

reading thru the threads, it seems White Z2 has more "additional" problems like alignments etc as compared to black and purple?

Hmm, luckily mine doesn't seem to have that issues, anyone know of any place to buy the magnetic cable? Really want to use it instead of opening the flaps..

Yes 2.55 is the latest. For those complaining about ui laggyness just update the firmware to 2.55. There is a stark improvement in responsiveness of the touchscreen

Can someone teach me how to update the firmware? i went to the update centre to try updating. however it says that i already have the latest update. mine is 17.1.A.2.36

Use PCC. Through phone will take time to reach it.

you need to plug in usb connect to PC. Sony PC companion will prompt new firmware.

why have the dock charger when there are third party magnetic cables out there selling for much cheaper? for me I'm singtel, i got the watch instead, so i'll go for a cheaper magnetic cable. i have no use for the dock as I'm out all the time.

I find that the White and Purple quite a let down, I realize the thin plastic frame is matte and not glossy. Because of the matte and rough surface, it made the frame color very faded and washout like.

Only black color Z2 plastic frame looks good with the aluminum frame. But I am currently holding a black Z1 and do not wish to get another black xperia flagship....sigh...sad...got to wait for Z3.

besides the usual check for scratches or cracks, i also check screen for dead pixels and sensitivity.

as for dock, that's for home use.
outside need magnetic cable to charge phone using portable batt. you can open the flap to use the usb too but magnetic port more convenient.

since you getting a case, chances are you will need the magnetic cable more than the dock because phone together with case might be too thick for the dock.
