why new phone need update?? they cant update before sell it meh???

hardware ready, software not ready, and the world is crying for the product. To reload the software probably have to rework all the sets, and it's going to cost Sony $$$!

Sell first, talk later, nothing special. This is the usual practice every body is learning from Microsoft, every now and then software upgrade.

I can bear with the inconvenience of software upgrade, but not for hardware failure.

Some consolation, HTC M8 seems to have a bigger issue :p

"Sony hasn't taken any risks with the Z2, sticking to the same design and features through and through. "

:s13: Isnt this statement more appropriate for Samsung?

At least Z2 looks similar to Z1, with a bit of more classy details.

S5? getting worse from S4 LOL. Sorry I have to admit I am biased towards Samsung.

samseng user now, but i agreed=:p=:p

but on the other hand, people think i carry S5 Mega, as S5 lookalike note 2 is big!!! haha...

Z2 do not have the anti-shatter screen protector like Xperia Z.

Any good screen protector to recommend? How much?

means product is NOT ready...the ship first -solve problem later attitute is more like american, not jap!

Then, for your case, you should buy a handphone 1 yr after its release. Im sure by then, the phone would b updated. You could consider xperia Z?

Toyota has so many recalls, isnt that another sell first talk later attitude :)

The world economy is moving too fast to cater to the wants of the consumer, we want it now and cheap, this is the price to pay for 6 month product life cycle.

Unless Sony has separate teams working on different flag ship products, they will bound to have such problems for every product launch if they stick to 6 months cycle. Software problems, supply chain problems, material shortages etc.
