Manchester United's Old Trafford misery continued as they lost against Sunderland, and their home setbacks during the current campaign have been many. Here are the ones that mattered the most:

Sept. 26, Man Utd 1-2 West Brom, Premier League

A superb Morgan Amalfitano run and chip had United rattled before Wayne Rooney's free-kick found the back of Boaz Myhill's net. Youngster Saido Berahino struck after 67 minutes to give the Baggies their first win at Old Trafford since 1978 - and ensure a worst start to a league campaign in 24 years for United.

Dec. 4, Man Utd 0-1 Everton, Premier League

David Moyes' old team came back to haunt him as Bryan Oviedo's late strike handed Everton their first win at Old Trafford in 21 years. Scot Moyes had failed to win at United in his 11-year reign with the Toffees.

Dec. 7, Man Utd 0-1 Newcastle, Premier League

United suffered their second home defeat in four days as Yohan Cabaye secured victory for the visitors - their first at Old Trafford since 1972.

Jan. 1, Man Utd 1-2 Tottenham, Premier League

Emmanuel Adebayor and Christian Eriksen scored for Spurs. Danny Welbeck pulled one back for the hosts but, despite a succession of penalty appeals and chances for Javier Hernandez, Rooney and Nemanja Vidic, a combination of goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, good fortune and some desperate defending by the visitors kept them at bay.

Jan. 5, 2014, Man Utd 1-2 Swansea, FA Cup third round

This one appeared to be heading to a replay until a Wilfried Bony header after 90 minutes gave Swansea their first ever win at Old Trafford. It was United's second defeat in four days after Tottenham had beaten them. Fabio's red card for a reckless challenge on Jose Canas capped another bad day for the hosts.

Jan. 22, Man Utd 2-1 Sunderland (aggregate 3-3, Sunderland win 2-1 on penalties) Capital One Cup

United's season of woe hit new depths as they were knocked out by relegation-haunted Sunderland. Jonny Evans scored to level the tie at 2-2 on aggregate to force extra-time, before David De Gea fumbled Phil Bardsley's shot into his own net. Javier Hernandez struck for the home side with 120 minutes on the clock - but Sunderland edged a terrible penalty shoot-out, scoring two of the three spot-kicks converted.

March 16, Man Utd 0-3 Liverpool, Premier League

Liverpool completed the double over United for the fourth time in the Premier League. Steven Gerrard scored two penalties and missed a third before Luis Suarez scored late on for a team who finished 28 points behind the champions in 2012-13.

March 25, Man Utd 0-3 Man City, Premier League

United were again completely outclassed by their local neighbours from the moment Edin Dzeko put the visitors in front inside the first minute. Moyes' side never truly threatened City, who registered further goals from Dzeko and Toure. Defeat effectively ended United's hopes of a late Champions League surge and left them in danger of missing out on the top six altogether.

May 3, Man Utd 0-1 Sunderland, Premier League

Sunderland took a huge step towards cementing their top-flight status by handing Ryan Giggs the first defeat of his reign as United interim manager. Sebastian Larsson took advantage of some slack marking to fire home Connor Wickham's cross in the first half as Sunderland recorded their first win at Old Trafford since 1968.

Players to sell/retire/bench
-Cleverly
-Young
-Nani
-Fletcher
-Carrick
-Butte
-Ferdinand
-Hernandez

Fellani can still do well I feel.
Not utilized in the best way yet.
Manager has to give him specific instructions.
He did well ar Everton n with Belgium.
He still has hope.
Maybe a man marker for a striker.

Louis van Gaal is supportive of Manchester United’s move for PSG striker Edinson Cavani.
The Mail on Sunday says United plan to splash £200million to rebuild the club following a shocking season under David Moyes.

Van Gaal has pulling power as a manager who has a long list of silverware to his name.

Topping his wish list will be Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani, 27, likely to cost £56m from PSG.

seriously overpriced. he only had one or two good seasons in Italy. see him as a Uruguay Andy Carroll.

saf bigger than united end of story..........:s13::s13::s13::s13:

as a fan i dnt care if pogba brings better performance n results.......

always got fans say a player will bring disrespect.......

but 99% i see is not players disrespect fans but fans against fans.SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

he's not bigger than united. as a fan i also want players to bring in better performance and result, but to us fans that's very superficial side of football only.

a simple example is in a sec school class where you have one guailan ah beng who is hell bent on going against the teacher. everyday he will be hurling abusive words at the teacher. if the teacher dont kick him out of class to the dm office or principal, everyone else in the room suffers. you need to manage the entire class(entire team in football) not just one guailan kia.

being a fan has to consider the club finance...the stories to why a player is here or not........

not easy nwadays.....

the way he talks abt United now, i don't think so.

Only way he is back is when SAF isn't at the club anymore. Even now SAF still play a part so no way he will be back. Even if SAF is not at the club, need crazy money to get him back. Too bad, we lost a gem.

that's how we see it. not what the club will see.
afterall these monkeys are still 'more established' than the youth.

but i feel, they lack the drive 92 had, or any youngster has, specifically because they are already 1st team players with decent salary. not driven by someone like Fergie to succeed to prove Alan Hansen wrong.

Pogba is a 1st team there, don't dream about getting him.
even if SAF left..bringing this badboy back into the same dressing room he has been dissing? what's going to happen to dressing room harmony.
