why this season Chelsea strikers all dun want to "Co-operate" with Jose due to his " I dun have striker " comments mths ago ?

he's just trying to tell Roman he wanna spend freely like when in his first reign.

been moaning that since he left, the club was managed badly and left him with junk.

hopefully e new manager issue can be settled soonish, n we can start on e business of reinforcement.. if nani really goes, i hope that young can follow him out as well... there's really too many areas where we need backup:

in order of importance for me:

1) CM: we need 2 here, one more mobile n defensively minded, e other with great passing range n able to dictate the pace of games. Carvalho/Schneiderlin and Kroos will be my choices.

2) LB: Evra is no spring chicken. Any of e names we have been linked with will do, though i have to admit that 30m for shaw seems a tad excessive.. 20m with addons that amt to 30m, i think can be done

3) Winger: we need a real great player in for this position. someone who can score, assist consistently, n provide pace for e team on e break. Nani, young n valencia have all regressed shockingly. Come on la, even i amateur also know how to look up first before crossing man. Reus for me here.

4) **: strangely bottom of my list, but i believe that in evans/smalling/jones, we can get a stable partnership gg if they play often enough. Getting a ** in his prime would be good though. I still believe that with better midfield cover, that is more composed n supports e def/attack well, our defenders will be less stressed.

** need to at least get 1 world class experienced with vidic confirmed leaving, followed by Rio most likely.

evans smalling so so only

jones still developing.

that 3 wingers can be sold for a total combined fee of 10m pounds. :s13:

#4 can push 2 places up, in equals with #1
** is a area we really lack. Carrick Fletcher may not get into van Gaal team at all.
in van Gaal system, he use lesser of wingers. he plays them like AMC
he will flood the midfield with players.

liddat all e 4 areas are as impt as one another liao.. but not surprising also.. too many players in our squad just not first 11 standard.. i read that van gaal likes wingers who can cut in, while still offering pace on e wing.. players like robben n ribery.. that's why reus always been linked with us.. i also dun think there will be space for RvP AND wazza to play upfront as a pair most of time.. he likes to have a real AMC playing behind e striker - mata/kagawa

I have to ask this....

is that the United way? No width at all?

seriously, i think all this talk abt e "united way" with width n flying wingers down e flanks, crossing for e 2 strikers in e box, is just overrated.. maybe 10 years ago, but today?liddat might as well sign usain bolt, let him blitz down e flank n cross in...

its about e team game, passing n moving well together, creating space so that even if there is a cross, it is delivered from a good position, with 3-4 players in e box waiting for it to come in..

width will also be provided by full backs if needed

"not the United way" is a term used when a manager is deemed behkan and/or we lose games.

had to armchio when i read many people saying against Norwich we were playing "the United way" and were playing better all season. against Sunderland the players totally showed how real is it, this IS United all season. we didn't change, we lack consistency.

this is nothing abt pro-Moyes, i'm simply saying our players are not good at all this season.

football has evolved, even SAF forced to change style.

if "United way" is about attacking until opponent can't stop to change breathe, well...most top sides also do that. :s13: so stop using this term, it's silly.

his "wingers" are sometimes strikers, that's what i meant.
he likes a very steady midfield guard.

yeah.. n i like that. does not mean that strikers die die have to be in e box.. they also can n shld make runs on e flanks, n deliver for other players to score too... goal threats should come from anyone in e team, not just e strikers since that will make us easy to play against.. heck even sunderland know this.. since their striker (wickham) crossed for their midfielder to score

our lack of goals n assists from midfield n e wings is just shocking to say e least - no goal threat at all

its a problem all season.
strikers all over the pitch, not in box
midfield passing sideways, no ball forward.
wingers with ultimate no-look crossing that either can't pass the 1st guy or goes to the other flank.
so even if strikers are in the box, no chance created to strike the ball.

for that, we keep getting attack because we can't make use of possession we have. losing the ball needlessly. defence always under constant attack. we can't expect them to always be 100%, a slight lapse and a goal conceded.

the same vicious cycle continues in our attack, and we can't crawl back from even 1-0, more often we lose more. heng heng get a equaliser also no joy, because we still under attack.

This is the true united way!

We dont sack our managers and dont spend big on players.

We dont talk about our history like other teams, but we have our class of 92!

possibly true if it is still 80s..
it is 21st century !!!

no domestic success = no European football = no additional commercial income = no "star" or "world class" players will come....

The only way I know if player or manager is no good. pls GET OUT OF THE WAY.

Wayne Rooney was absent because of reported stomach and groin problems, consistent with his history of acquiring innocuous injuries and ailments at convenient times of the season.

when you appear on RunningMan...you will leave sooner or later..
Evra : “I am not lying to anyone. There have been a lot of rumours - am I going or staying. At the moment I have not decided anything. My agent will have a meeting with Manchester United and we will see."

i dun mind strikers being in other places besides e box, as long they are in e attacking third, but e wingers n midfielders must have e goal sense to make runs into e box so that e striker has support or a target to aim at.. our current CMs all no goal threat - not willing to run into box or take long shots at all....

wingers also have to be able to cross well n shoot well.... no use having a one-trick who overhits blind crosses all e time..they also should be smart enough to run into space to draw defenders away, n support e players in e box... look at kagawa's run for rooney's 2nd goal vs norwich - he drew 2 norwich defenders away from rooney to take e shot

none of our backline save DDG have looked good this season, cause e CM really cui.. no cover, no confidence to keep ball under pressure... playing vida n rio all e time is also not good as it takes experience away from smalling/jones/evans, and their lack of pace means we cannot push too high up e pitch, resulting in players being miles apart

the most criminal is the severe lack of movement and not to mention the "zip" in our forward movement

City got it, Liverpool has it when they counter, Southampton (yes, them!) has it too when they play through their 3 flair players.

I see the players take the ball, pass it around in front of the Sunderland defence. There is a pass there for say into Hernandez or even Mata... no... they are afraid of it... they see Young/Nani/Evra open. They give the back to them. They like bobian go and cross...

Moyes football? Give me a break... that excuse cannot be used liao...
