new cat in the block - zai zai. Formerly called ah balling cat.
suspected abandoned cat as she is totally clueless on surviving on the street until another feeder found her in the drain half-starved.
Now fostering in my home.

Just sent a community kitty to the vet as she eats little and sometimes refuse to eat for the past 1 week... Vet checked on her and noted that she is looking yellow (aka jaundice) and then did a blood test for her and told us they suspected liver problem but need another test to confirm. She was hospitalized so she can be on drip since she hasn't been eating well and to reduce the chances of getting fatty liver.
Read up that the recovery time can be 3-6 weeks or even 2-3 months for some kitties and needed dedicated care to make sure she eats via force feeding or feeding tube until she can eat on her own.
As much as I would like to foster her till she recover, but we already have 4 kitties at home so we simply can't do that, we are not sure what to do after she is being discharged from the hospital.
Edit: Called up the vet, was told kitty pulled out the drip this morning! They tried to force feed her but she don't want, and ate a little on her own. The same vet suggested to keep her for another 2-3 days but SO think if there is no benefit for her to be in the clinic we may want to discharge her so she is not stressed out in there and to bring her to TJV Dr Grace Heng for second opinion.

We sent a community cat in for jaundice a few years back and she had to stay in the clinic for 2-4 nights. Came back and was good to go but we made sure that she ate better food for the next little while.
This is only for jaundice. Not if there is another issue.
Do a walk-in when she's on duty. But have to wait long. Or go when clinic is closing. Appointments may have to wait weeks.

Thanks IronMac, the vet was to take another blood sample for a more comprehensive test today to rule out other disease like pancreatitis or just liver issue, the result can only be out in 2-3 days time.. her initial blood test wasn't too good![]()

Visited Tabby (name of the community cat) yesterday evening, she was such a good gal finished up a bowl of dry food on her own while we were there... but she seem to be a little tired maybe due to the drip and meds that the vet has been giving her. We decided to let her stay for another night and discharge her this evening to bring her to TJV. The vet has sent her blood sample for pancreatitis, will have to wait for another 2-3 days before we know the result. *Fingers Cross*
I mix Oko plus with normal sand to last me longer lolI am also using... and mine used very fast... maybe i use with those litter tray liner...seem like the bottom always wet (so keep removing the clump)... or maybe i change the whole litter once every other week... and i am using a jumbo hood tray, base litter big area (soon to be 2... the other jumbo still in storeroom)
I may not use the liner anymore... as realise the actual area inside the tray is small as the liner eat into area...(unable to stick to the wall nice nice)
Tats wat we did the previous time. My sister gave her school principal address.Any private property will do, like condos. Can just borrow someone's address. They won't verify or do any house check anyway. Just a formality, they not that hardworking. Or just ask the shelters to use their address, usually they will help.
Guys do u all know if i cab get any portable steps or platform which can be placed beside my bed? Cos my eldest have difficulty jumping onto my bed, and whenever she jumps she cry in pain as she have arthritis. Thanks
