Fans will hope that there will be a solid marque signing.

Club DOES have a choice. they can choose not to get one.

not winning anything with him does not mean he is not a good solid player to have in the team??

we can achieve better squad depth with him back.

Having Ramsey play well does not mean that we cannot add players.

Think we have reach a point that money and cash flow is not a problem as long as we spend wisely.

So the club WILL NEED to spend.

Or else they cannot answer to the fans.

Just not sure what's our limit on spend wisely.

Will they bid more than Ozil for any player ?

If more, how much more ?

But think our pattern in max one marque player per season.

Why your obsession with Cesc ?

We never won anything with him as the centre of the team.

So what can we achieve even if he have him back anyway ?

Btw the level Ramsey played last season is definitely better than Cesc when he was at Arsenal.

Its not obsession at cesc. A World Class player available to us, why dont we take the bite? We never won anything with him. Well look at the squad we had in the past with cesc around. Denilson, senderos those crap, how can we win with those sub par players. Now that we had some World class players like Ozil, you can see that we are still a bit far from from winning the more prestigious BPL. It will be the addition of more World Class Players that will let us win titles. It always disappoint me that we never fully take chance. We are always a few steps away from having a squad full of depth to challenge for trophies, if we can blame on financial in the past, i dun think we can blame it this time round

hulk rumours totally bollocks as exposed by some people. and doubt we will get him actually were it not for the rumours initially.

actually imo neymar is the only person carrying brazil at the moment. he is the only one pulling the strings, making the plays, the runs and dribbles, pulling n drawing in most of the defenders to create space for others. not convinced at their defensive display even at this moment, and upfront they look pretty blunt with only fred who is kinda slow and bulky.

i honestly find it hard to see them emerge as WC champions tbh.

like i said, if wenger cannot justify the fabrejudas snub in this transfer window, his a goner. having marque signing(S) is strictly a must now, no gooners will stand for anything less after letting go of the chance to get back fabrejudas unless the funds are really used to fight and bid for marque signings that we seek.

Hulk to me is just simply overrated.

LOL last time he got Judas, Clichy, Cole, Cashlybayor, Hlebb. Song, Nasri, Arshavin, Gilberto, Flamini

Strike force was definitely stronger than now. Last time he passed to Judas or bayor can expect them to score. Now he passes to Giroud or Sanogo he may go wft ?

And last time he got Gilberto/Flamini/Song to protect him. Now he finds he may need to fight for every ball like Ramsey or he will get passed by opponents midfield.

Only the defense is stronger but without midfield protection is not much use.

You were the one that started the Cesc frenzy last season also.

Did you have the info that he was the one backing out last minute and resulted in us going for Ozil instead ?

If that is true he played us out twice (not counting this time cos it's like mutual consent)

Actually Oscar probably did better than Nyemar

Will be interesting to see how Hosey accomodate Oscar and Cesc

And he will play one DM definitely.

Nah but he sill sell Lukaku to Everton which will need to sell players to raise funds.

Then we can grab Coleman form Everton :s13:

For yesterday's game, yes agreed oscar most probably their best player overall, worked his socks off. however, neymar still the major contributor by winning the game overall with his first 2 goals with the latter being the game-winning one.

Based on the international friendlies that took place before onset of WC, neymar has been far more consistent than the other brazilian players including oscar in terms of performance and form and to me he is their MVP, the one who will spearhead the team forward.

could be a little scary if mourinho decides to switch things up and go more attack-minded with acquisition of fab, by taking up a 4-1-4-1 formation or 4-1-3-2

That's not scary. Chelsea's style is defensive, if they go attacking, it's good news.

Chelsea standard tactics , tank/bus in away games against the top teams and try to attack the bottom teams.

They lost the league cos they failed to unlock the bottom teams in away and home games. So reasonable to get costa and fab and sell luiz.

I am disappointed in fab decision , but I guess money talks and out goes the worthless loyalty. What nv play for another English team. Pui. Maybe players can empathize him , but for fans , he just destroyed their faith in him.

I do believe he might be not the same player when he left us, only time will tell. Wenger better surprise us come 1 July

The last year of cesc at arsenal is really wtf especially he is our captain. Refuse to play and buying out his contract plus forcing his move to barca.

This Cesc saga suddenly made me realize that Arteta is the true loyal Spaniard befitting the Arsenal shirt, because:

1) He turned down higher wages offered by Everton in order to sign for us.
2)He was always played out of position as DM but never begrudged Wenger or the club, though this earned him pretty harsh criticism due to unfair comparisons with Cesc, the younger, more loved Spaniard.
3)He took on heavier responsibility as vice-captain and made effort to make compatriots CaZorla and Monreal at home.
4)He literally fought tooth and nail (losing the former) in the recent match with his old club Everton, earning the wrath and vitriol of ex teammates like Baines as well as the Goodison Park faithful.
5)He never won a place in the national squad in his time with Arsenal (prob due to his subpar performance as DM instead of his preferred CAM role which he graciously gave to others), but never sulked not complained.

I think Arteta was born in a time period when Spain has many midfield talents. If Xavi, Iniesta, Alonso, David Silva, Fabregas, Cazorla, etc are not around, he might have commanded a regular first team place.

Even Cazorla, I have to type his name at the back, considering the first-choice midfield duo for Spain, Xavi and Iniesta.
