Has anyone upgraded from a S5 or HTC ONE m8?

I'm wondering how the iphone 6 (not the plus) battery life matches up against the current android titans?

I'm keen on heading back to Apple but battery life is a problem; Finding it hard to revert to having to charge my phone mid-day when my HTC ONE and Xperia Z2 consistently makes it through one whole day.

For discussion sake, my usage:

- 3 hrs of reading rss feeds in the morning on the bus/lunch/on the way home (can consider 4G data use)
- moderately checking of whatsapp throughout the day
- 2 hours of music listening daily.

I migrated from HTC One M8. Battery wise iPhone 6 cannot beat M8, which can last more than a day in my usage. the ip6 battery drops quite fast when I'm playing CoC. Yesterday I pulled out of the charger at 12pm and at 9pm is about 35% (Not too bad)

My typical usage is:

1) coc
2) twitter
3) Surf the net

So conclusion, I suggest carrying a small capacity powerbank just in case your usage is heavier than usual. :s22:

Thank you for sharing your experience. It is very illuminating! I was really hoping apple could come close to the latest android's batt life. Nonetheless, the performance is not toi shabby i guess.

Not bad...

Came from iPhone 5. Now using iPhone 6 Space Grey 128GB

Fully charged (overnight) and unplugged at 7.30am.

Extremely heavy use (downloading files, emails, chatting, music playback for 30min, reading, surfing app store, more reading) all with 4G, Bluetooth and Wifi on...

At 10.30pm - 78% batt.

With little use, just casual reading. 1hr can pass with only 1-3% loss in batt. Again, with 4G left on.

As indicated, it's a 6. Not 6+.

For sure man. I intentionally paid attention to time and batt life this morning.

I'll full charge right now and test again. :) Report back later. Thanks guys.

Extreme heavy use for 16 hours still left 78%?

Could you take screenshot of your battery usage screen?

Highly doubt it. 6+, unplugged at 8am, used wifi in office and 4g during lunch and when going home. Now 10:30pm, 62% :s22::s22::s22:

Eh...I don't think the activities you are doing can be considered "extremely heavy use" :s11:
