Some network in Equinix is leaking Starhub routes, which is breaking a lot of sites hosted within Starhub IX.

We have fixed it on our network but I think nearly all other SG providers have yet to fix it.

Thanks. It worked shortly after I called in. 👍

A lot of stuff researchers promised us never materialized leh

Yeah, I know. They have promised flying cars, living on the Moon/Mars/undersea for us general public by now. But none has materialised.

At least self-driving cars are near and videophone is available now.

I had a lot of problems after upgade to OS X Yosemite, AirPort Utility couldn't find AirPort Time Capsule, Hourly Time Machine Backups had only 2-3 times success in a day, iTunes wireless sync couldn't find any devices...

I noticed all are caused by Mac's IPv6 setting, after changed Auto (Default) to Link-Local, issues are all gone.

I think Auto is assuming upstream network provides like VQ are providing native IPv6 connectivity and having DHCPv6-PD server in place for the base station to use on LAN/WLAN. From my uderstanding VQ does not have DHCPv6-PD, for some reasones OSX Yosemite quite relies on it and causes many confusions if DHCPv6-PD does not work, this was not an issue in OS X Mavericks.

Link-Local will make Mac to use IPv6 just like old school IPv4 style.

By hopped on to the VQ 500Mbps bandwagon this morning.

I am using Asus AC68U on latest rmerlin FW 376.4. Is this FW supported by VQ for IPv6?

If yes, how to i configure the Asus router for IPv6?

:D

VQ does not officially support IPv6 on ur AC68 yet. but u still can use it .
email noc@viewqwest.com to request for it. they will send u the details. after that input into the settings then okay already.

Some key point to take note thou, your overall performance will drop to 200-300mbps when ipv6 is enabled as nat acceleration is disabled when ipv6 is turned on. So there are pros and cons to this.(Just a note, this issue is due to router & not VQ network.)

Will VQ have a presence at SITEX this year where one can bring their laptops to try out the connection?

Yes we will be at SITEX but it might be a bit busy there for you to test with your laptop. It would be better for you to visit our showroom or our booth at Sim Lim Square to test.

Ready to order VQ - any current promotions?

After deciding between VQ and NR I think I am convinced to order VQ.

Is there any current promotions/vouchers/etc ongoing? If yes, would anyone share?

Also, I do not have TV at home (yes, have not had it since 2000), so AppleTV or VQTV are not use to me. Does anybody know if they are willing to take out that option and give something else instead - like give the router free or VPN free beyond 3 month?

Current promos wise refer to Price plans | ViewQwest Pte Ltd

Otherwise, wait for sitex to come along.

On the other hand, there is a "sorta" perma promotion for referrals. Meaning if you are referred by someone and if you refer someone, both of you get $25 off for the next month bill.

Is this some kind of expo/event? When?

If I got referred by someone, do I have refer someone on my own to get $25 off?
