Ensure all the LAN Cables(Between Zhone -> Asus, Asus -> MBP) is at least Cat 5e and above, no QoS has been done.

Also make sure its not on Telin server.

i can confirm both cables are 5e - it's printed on it as such. please excuse my ignorance but i'm unsure how to check for QoS and for the Telin server :)

trying to get through to VQ CS on the phone but they seem to be busy... i appreciate your help though :)

For the Telin server, Just try/perform your speedtest at speedtest10.vqbn.com instead to ensure you're not using telin server.

Anyhow, for the QoS, you got to go into the Asus router interface (http://192.168.1.1/) with default username & password "admin" without quotes.

After which, click on Traffic Manager, and ensure it is disabled. Other than that....Can't think of anything else at the moment, but you can attempt doing speedtest with another browser to see if the results differs.

Hi guys,

The issue that just happened is (unfortunately) again related to hardware at the AMK exchange. This is the same issue that has happened previously, i had mentioned that it could happen again.

I realize this is frustrating and we all really hate that we weren't able to resolve this after the first occurrence. Our engineers have been liaising with the vendor since the day this first started in order to isolate the component responsible for this and replace it. Unfortunately this is not an issue with a clear solution so it has not yet been resolved.

Part of the maintenance this weekend will be address this problem and implement a possible fix.

Edit: Have been informed that connection should now be back up for everyone as of 16:32. If you're still unable to connect, please reboot the zhone and contact our noc at noc@viewqwest.com or 6723 8100

You folks should really start looking into improving your service delivery. You are an ISP ffs.

This should have been taken care of in the initial occurrence.

Apologies I did not mean to imply that our guys overlooked fixing this issue.

Our engineers have been working hard and liasing with our vendor to find a solution to this since the first occurrence. Unfortunately it is not a known issue or something with a clear solution so they have been unable to resolve it yet.

Service delivery and uptime is of paramount importance to us. It's what we've built the core of our reputation on. Believe me when i say that we're taking this extremely seriously and our guys are doing everything possible to resolve it.

I'm currently waiting for my opennet and viewquest appointments that were originally scheduled on the 15th and 22nd of Dec respectively.

Just received a call from VQ saying that opennet unable to attend to me till 26th Dec, and because this is an approximated date, VQ will be unable to proceed with my installation on the 22nd of Jan. Huh?!? I told the CSO that the original dates that were given to me were 15th and 22nd of Dec and not 22nd of Jan. In the VQ notification e-mail, it was indicated 22nd of Jan as well.

From the Sitex sign-up till now, this is the first time that I was notified that my VQ installation was shifted to 22nd Jan. Just to be sure, I went to check my Sitex sign up form and it clearly indicates that opennet installation date is on the 15th of Dec and viewquest installation is on the 22nd of Nov. The person which did my registration and appointment dates must had typoed.

I don't know if I should laugh or cry. :s22:

hmmm might be a typo - if there is a delay with Net Link Trust, you may be able to opt for FTO and get an earlier date (if that's an option you want to take of course :) ).

PM me your details and i'll check with the them. (although...since it's after 6 might be not be able to verify until monday)
