To check the manufacturing date, can see the label located at the back of the tv, will need to unhook the set if you mount it using normal mount. I checked my total power on time: its 55hours, seem accurate.

But cant LG restore/reset the total power on time before sending to u??

Thanks for sharing on how to check on the manufacturing date. Mine is June 2014. For the total power on time. The setting is base on the motherboard and this number cannot be reset.

Good way to prevent used and display set from being delivered to your place.:s12::s12:

Okay way off topic but I was eyeing the UB850T 55" for a really long time then when time to hoot on Sunday I ended up with a Samsung 7200 instead.

but I was following this thread and got the tip to check the power-on time, so is there anyway to check for this? I was looking through all the menu settings 1 by 1 to look for this option haha :s22:

It always happens. The sales guys try to push a different model than the one we intend to buy.

Anyone install Plex for LG Smart TV? LG stop developing Plex app for their Smart TV and now you can only buy the expensive but half-baked app from a 3rd party developer.

It's sad to watch the quantity & quality of apps in the pathetic LG Store. No point buying over WebOS but cannot execute the plan to grow it big.

Completely agree on the pathetic LG store stuff. They want to overtake Sony and Samsung and their support sucks. They give freebies to woo customers and forget them afterwards. Doesn't understand the concept of customer retention.
