If yours is the older/initial batch - device runs quite hot.

Should use some form of active cooling - mine is being cooled by a 120mm fan blowing across.

The newer model (rectangular casing) offers better airflow dissipation.

Sad to hear - might be the USB drive inside dead.

Hi,

I am looking to buy this router. I currently have cable internet 100Mbps/2.4Mbps

I am currently using a cisco cable modem which is bridged to a Netgear WNDR3700V2.

I also have a Cisco Meraki Wireless Access Point and a Netgear GS108 8 port gigabit switch.

I know this device only have a limited amount of ports. Will plugging in my 8 Port netgear switch into eth 1 on the ERL decrease performance in anyway?

Thanks,
K.

Faster to buy a Sandisk Cruzer Fit than to RMA right? The original flash drive is so crappy that even after formatting I couldn't get any OS to read it.

You might be able to get an RMA if you contact Ubiquiti support directly with the date code and mention that the USB drive failed.

Got usb drive? Cant see
