Yes! agreed to the noise and dust level of the plot as i am staying nearby too. The only pros here is convenience - thats all.

Super expensive! thinking twice if I should go for this project or wait up for the bidadari project hmmm.. afterall its the promise of the new bishan/toapayoh at a much cheaper price than this! any views?

Is it really cheaper? Did hdb state anywhere?

Go for it if you still have first timer chance. Bidadari should have a few launches.
My mom was like asking why the design so screw up, she thought is designed by foreigners lol

Bidadari has great overall location and design, but seems like not many will be that close to mrt station.

It's the balcony units and are 3sqm bigger. #10 #16 more expensive too normal 4 room

I am looking at 3 room though , no balcony for 3 room , sqm is same as those other 2 blocks .. Couldn't understand why , just realized the lift lobby structure is different ..

Yup , o so the living room is more spacious , but the overall sqm is the same ?

Yeah overall sqm the same. Kitchen and living squarish layout so easier to maximize space. Longish/rectangular design tends to have some "waste" in space. That's why this layout more expensive.

Think this project is pretty damned expensive...Doubt anyone would want to go for low floors considering the price difference is so little ?

Generally only those with limited CPF/cash, elderly and those with fear of heights will go for low floor. Since many of the units face each other, it doesn't really matter high or low floor.

Ya. This BTO is a buy or no buy depends of how much you have. those with a Q number like me have to put serious consideration whether to commit the next 25 years.

frankly speaking. I am now seriously considering if i still want to go for this BTO.
i went to the site a few times and found the noisy level is a bit unacceptable. I do not want to stay in a unit which i need to suffer for 5 years.
I am currently staying a resale flat and I will fulfill my MOP in 2017. My alternative plan to buy a condo two years later and rent out the HDB unit. (though now has the damn ABSD imposed). My consideration is that the condo unit is now going down trend and it is expected to go lower. So the ABSD is also kind of absorbed by the down trend.
in this case, i will have to input many cash to own both HDB and condo. However, I will have rental from HDB to cover my installment of condo. Financially, there is not much burden.
If i take the BTO now, the plan to own a condo will be delay minimum 8 years. I am not sure how much the macpherson BTO can worth. Unless it can worth 700K. i think take condo is still a better choice, is it?

My advice is dont count your chicks before they hatch...

And anyway,

Flat owners and their families must continue to stay in their HDB flats after purchasing private properties. However, exception is made for those who have obtained prior approval from HDB to sublet their flats under the Subletting of Flat policy.

It's always advisable to invest at own limits. HDB is public housing and government is stopping the trend for public pricing to go further up.( duty stamps, TDSR , hdb policy etc etc). Better read up more before committing.

It will be a thank god that the value will stay after purchasing this bto. You never know when property price will go down or not
