dankoo,

It will be better to avoid any combination as this will not optimize and provide any improvements. The PL1800EP has a frequency band of 2-86Mhz whereas the other is 2-68Mhz.

PL1800E can't upgrade

Hi Sineoji,
I have 1 pair of PL1800E bought several months ago and yesterday just bought 1 pair of PL1800EP. I managed to upgrade the pair of EP model but not able to upgrade the E model. Done upgrade from the same notebook, same cable and gotten different results.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Hi,

I bought a pair of PL1800E sometime ago, according to speedtest.net my download speed ranges from 123.83 to 173.61Mbps while the upload speed ranges from 186.69 to 223.47Mbps. As I am on 1Gbps from Myrepbulic, I am getting less than 20% of my subscribed speed.

I would appreciate if your support staff can make a trip to my home in Ang Mo Kio to check how to increase the speed. I tried to pm you but was unsuccessful as your inbox is full.

Dear steelpipe,

Our support staff visited your premises this evening to assist you in the upgrading of the firmware. In addition, there were some fine-tuning done at the living hall to relocate the 2 power extension sockets, consolidating them into one and have it plugged through the pass through of the homeplug.

Your fibre broadband speed is 200Mbps. Measure the speed test via the Sineoji 1800, your download speed is 170Mbps as compared to 120Mbps initially.

jazz2005,

Our support staff visited your residence this evening to diagnose your powerlines. As your residence is a 3 floor cluster home, your powerlines is above average.

Your setup configuration is as follows :

1st Floor - ONT--Sineoji 1800
3rd Floor - Sineoji- Router

After fine-tuning, the download speed via the Sineoji 1800 on the 3rd floor is 234Mbps as compared to 173Mbps before, and your upload speed has increased to 305Mbps as compared to 223Mbps initially.

Hi Sineoji. I am interested in Sineoji products after reading the positive reviews from fellow hwz members here. I have a few questions about my setup though. I will appreciate if you can help me out. Thanks!

My ideal setup as follows:

Y4G7xUI.jpg

Questions:

1) Will my PC be able to realize the full potential of the PL1800EP?

2) Will the PL500EW and PL504E lower the performance of the PL1800EP?

3) Will the PL500EW boost the wireless WIFI signal in my room?

4) I have to use the PL504E because I need the 4 ports for my media devices. Will there be a 1800mbps pass through homeplug like the PL1800EP but with 4 ports in the future?

5) Are there any charges if you guys come down to my place and diagnose the optimal setup for the Sineoji homeplugs?

6) I will be changing ISP in a few months. Is it all right if I purchase the Sineoji homeplugs and keep them first then call you guys to help diagnose the optimal power sockets and setup the homeplugs once my new fibre plan is ready?

7) All Sineoji homeplugs come with 3 years warranty?

My router will be the ASUS AC87U.

Thank you so much for your time. If all is well, I will be purchasing your Sineoji products once my new fibre plan is ready. Thanks and hope to hear from you. :)

Dear urorax,

Please see my answers to your queries.

1) Will my PC be able to realize the full potential of the PL1800EP?

I suggest to have this setup configuration in your room.

Sineoji 1800- 5 port gigabit switch - ethernet devices and PC
Sineoji PL500EW - extends your wireless coverage

2) Will the PL500EW and PL504E lower the performance of the PL1800EP?
You do not need the PL504E if you have a 5 Port gigabit switch connected via the Sineoji 1800. Having just the PL500EW will not impact your resultant throughput.

3) Will the PL500EW boost the wireless WIFI signal in my room?
Yes, it will boost your wifi.

4) I have to use the PL504E because I need the 4 ports for my media devices. Will there be a 1800mbps pass through homeplug like the PL1800EP but with 4 ports in the future?
Not at the moment.

5) Are there any charges if you guys come down to my place and diagnose the optimal setup for the Sineoji homeplugs?
We do not charge anything as this is a value add service we provide.

6) I will be changing ISP in a few months. Is it all right if I purchase the Sineoji homeplugs and keep them first then call you guys to help diagnose the optimal power sockets and setup the homeplugs once my new fibre plan is ready?
Yes, not a problem. Just keep me posted and I will have our staff come over.

7) All Sineoji homeplugs come with 3 years warranty?
Yes it covers under 3 years warranty.

When it is ready, just contact us and we will have our staff come over to your residence to configure and set it up to attain the optimum throughput after diagnosing your powerlines.

hi sineoji, I bought the plugs during the show, afterwards 1 week later I went overseas and when I am back I realised that my speed has dropped. My provider name has also changed to someone called myhosting. I plug into another PC and it shows Viewqwest (correct ISP). Please advise?

Dear zenical,

There is a tendency that your Homeplugs might be connected to your neighbours using another pair of Homeplugs based on the feedback you provided.

You will need to secure your homeplug network by using the flash tool. Is there a number where I can reach you to guide you ?

That's why I'll never waste money on plans more than 200Mbps in Singapore, you are technically paying bonus to the telco.

What is more important is latency ;)
