Corning Gorilla Glass 3?

most phones use 3; S6 and S6 Edge use Gorilla Glass 4.
LG G Flex 2 use gorilla glass 3 with a special LG coating - and then they call it Dura-Guard Glass, about 20% stronger.

In drop tests using Gorilla Glass 4, the new material was about twice as likely to survive a 1-meter drop onto a rough surface (Corning uses 180-grit sandpaper for these tests) than Gorilla Glass 3. In these drops, with the cover glass hitting face down right on the floor, Gorilla Glass 4 survived the fall up to 80 percent of the time. Comparatively, soda-lime glass, a non-hardened glass, used in bottles and windows, broke in these tests nearly 100 percent of the time.

So it's can withstand a load of 25kg. I read earlier that someone mentioned can do what with a 25kg phone... was thinking what the hell..

Anyway was playing with a red demo set just now, seems snappy.
However I have my misgivings on the self healing back, the back is glossy and seriously doubt how much can it heal.

I think withstanding of 25kg load is just in case the phone gets buried under your work (books/papers) in your office or workstation haha. Or perhaps if you accidentally lean on it or sit on it when it's inside your pocket. So to some extent I'm sure this ability would be useful :)

No doubts about performance :) But a little skeptical about the self healing; I think perhaps only for minor cuts and scratches? :) The glossy back is gonna be a major fingerprint magnet though :(

I think the curvature makes it look really sleek though. Better viewing angles and clearer voices over the phone ^^

LG G Flex2 should have more colours instead of just flamenco red and platinum silver. gold will be a popular choice.

Based on this video, the "self healing" feature is limited to tiny small scratch with little or no pressure.
if its a real scratch as in this video, its not going to self-heal. maybe hwz can try to test to the extreme with this self-healing feature.

With its innovative curved design and P-OLED screen,i believe it is designed to shield away from sunlight and create a shadow iver it so that we need not increase brightness to the maximum and at the same time save battery. Talk about innovation!!!

But P-OLED screen dun seems to be efficient and restrictive in resolution and size compared to amoled, dun seems suitable for a flagship phone if G Flex2 is meant to be

How is it restrictive in resolution? If one isnt adapted to AMOLED, they may not like its vibrantness in colours.

P-OLED might give a better neutrality than AMOLED.

edit: points are not only awardable to this thread. can post in other LG threads.
