The amoled display in teardown of samsung S6 is also a flexible plastic sheet. Difference should be the number of generations with the amoled more advanced.

I think one major advantage of the curved design of LG flex 2 is that the speaker will not get block when placed on table. My phone with speaker on the back will get muffled when place on table, often missed new messages.

But the talk time dropped a lot with the S6 which is why the overall lower rating, but personally talk time isn't important to me. But you can see improvements despite a smaller battery.

Why going backwards? Have to ask LG already. Could be the display consuming more power, the CPU, etc.

It's not about surfing the web for 10 hours. It's about how much battery the phone uses when you do browse the web throughout the day. The lesser battery it uses for web browsing, the more battery you have left for other things.
