Hi Ray,
I will try to do some game play and screen grab of the log temps recorded by the Gigabyte software.
bro quick question, what's your output like? 1080p? 1440p?

If $999 for Fury X is overpaying, then I don't know what to call for Titan X... Ripped off? Day light robbery?
so basically bemylove is harping about 980ti > Fury X while Roy insist this thread is not all about that. It's about exploring the new tech that goes with this new offering which is just fine by me. Sounds to me like the argument is not even valid! Calm your tits everyone.
Sigh, still many will not realise.
I did not bring in any form of performance comparisons. Be it 980ti or fury X.
Theres nothing interesting in 980ti. It just looks exactly like any other cards out there that offers the same thing over and over again.
FuryX on the other hand is not a card that will topple 980ti. But rather everything is newly offered. A top tier card that is small, nicer looking, HBM, and a valued oriented CLC with a GT fan.
How much will NV charge their fans with a 980ti and CLC?
A true hardware enthusiast dont just buy whatever is top end hardwares.
They buy whatever is available, and plays with it and enjoys it. Not something about braging rights or comparing so much about performance.
IF one wants to compare performance, then where does the fury X really stands? Read all the benchmarks. So many of them cant even get a proper benchmarks. There are benchmarks that differs from the same game settings etc. And nobody talks about certain benchmarks that beats the 980ti.
Sad isnt it? When knowingly it just trades blow with each other here and there.

the only way a graphic card can be interesting is if it brings out strong performance. interesting new technology that gets trump by current technology is just gimmick end of the day. one buys a graphic card is mostly for the intended purpose to run games. the only thing that is advantageous for amd at the moment is size which means it will only benefit a small sub set of the enthusiast market.

controls the led: GPU Tach Off/ Red/ Blue/ Red+Bluecan anyone help me? one of the pictures show ON/KE, what is this function for?

But it is not single digit. Keep saying single digits, wont make it come true.

You shoot yourself in the foot leh brother...
You first said strong performance is key, then you said new tech and other features are just is gimmicks (how to perform better without new tech?), then you said amd small card size is an advantage (due to its new technology using HBM resulting in its small size, totally negating what you said earlier about new tech/gimmix), then you said again that it only benefits a small subset of users (then how is it advantageous?)
Sent from microwave oven using GAGT
That is the jist of the day isnt it?
Our cdl sell 980Ti G1 at only $100 more than Fury X, comes with latest Batman and a mouse! When spending $1K, 100 bucks is no consideration.
AMD just lost all value by pricing Fury X as a premium product for that kind of beh-kan perf. I share your attachment as one of the first Fury X consumers, but AMD flopped in the end. Bad for them, bad for us, good for Nvidia.
Btw i using 290 series, not a past Nvidia supporters because local distros overpriced Nvidia cards here. But tables have turned with Fury X.![]()
