So now we know why they paid 49m pounds for an Englishman who is not worth that much.

They are screwed. Basically they can only buy English players. I think they need to sell 1 more, or else 1 of them cannot be registered.

They have to sell, and they cannot buy (other than English players). That's the situation with Man City.

We are OK. I counted we have about 14-15 non-home grown players.

Actually michael owen damn wasted. If he had lesser injuries, he could have been the best.

owen after getting the epl medal, he call stevie g and said "Lad, i got something you don't have."

tat guy was burnout before he was 21,,,
the way he cheong here and there at club and national level.... a recipe for short career playing time.

i had just realised....Arsenal had also sold many players to Barcelona except a goal keeper.....similar to MU's sales to RM

We'll easily get through the quota to be frank. Strong English core.

yes and no, homegrown doesnt necessarily mean english. for example, clichy is considered home grown, schneiderlin too. so long as he represented a club for 3 season before hes 21, hes HG. basically the guys they got from arsenal are all HG.

sensible thing to do would be to get rid of dzeko and sign charlie austin.

believe they tried to sign delph, but he rejected them.

Yes, you are right. You see the kind of players they are trying to sign now.
Delph, Sterling. There was another young player from Fulham.

One look you know they are in trouble. They cannot compete in transfer market this season. It's an irony coz money can't get you around the rules.

Raheem Sterling (£49M) cost more than all 10 of Juventus' outfield players that started the Champs League final.

more changes have been planned for the HG rules.

http://www.skysports.com/football/n...les-bad-news-for-man-city-arsenal-and-chelsea

- Players, irrespective of nationality, will have to be with his club from age 15 to qualify as home-grown

- The number of non-home grown players in each 25-man squad is to be reduced from 17 to 13

- At least two home-grown players must be club trained

man utd will struggle too with this.

we dont really have any club trained players in the first team now. rafael is one (he joined when he was 14, brought in by jaap stam of all people).
