sigh. while i really dont wish to judge anyone, but after looking through her fb profile (you can aga-aga know her personality)... can see that she obviously couldn't afford a child but are those kind who will just f**k around with her bf without thinking about the consequences.

Although I do come across a few single mums who are a single mum due to reasons like husband cheated on them (after marriage etc), divorced, passed away. those are the ones that really need help. not those young punk who do something wrong and hope for people to bail them out. and when they dont get bailed out, they kp on how unfair life is. zz

Firstly, I know how to plan for the future, that's why I don't have even a girlfriend. I make sure I have a proper nest egg, and can provide her with stability b4 I marry her and try for a kid.......

So I won't find myself in such a situation. That's a life I'm bringing into this world with her and it's irresponsible to just leave things to chance without proper planning and taking into account Murphy's Law.

I don't even have a girlfriend how to have a kid?
Yes, that's my plan.....I already have my own place, but the nature of my work and my earnings isn't stable...and recession is looming....and I have no safety net as I'm lowly educated. That's why I choose to remain single for now.

At first I pity the mother and son, but after I open up their fb. I think the gov is quite right in not giving them the bonus. This woman come across as someone whom is very extreme in her views, all or none.

I feel that the gov should either highlight that:
1) The baby bonus is only meant for babies born into a family nucleus consisting of a legally wedded couple. This should be publicised and served as a warning so potential moms cannot complain.

or

2) Give the baby bonus but the money would be meant to reimburse baby expenses such as diapers / milk powder and childcare fees ONLY.

This should be enough to make ppl think twice??

Based on one single mum you are condemning all the other single mums. There are also legal couple giving birth to more babies to abuse the baby claims. If today you open the fb profile and it is not as what you have read today, will you make a different comment?
