I think so. I actually submitted online via website and they turned me down within minutes! Then at the same time, I also passed it to my friend who is currently working in the Big 4, and they replied me requesting for my payslip etc. I really wonder how they filter candidates? By luck?

there is internal referral system that can refer a friend.

Hi, would like to clarify, is your FS referrring to financial services or financial statement? :s22:

Financial services, external audit is, unless I'm mistaken, almost always financial statement audit.

Apparently EY when u apply through TURF can apply 2 positions... and get interview for both....

Anyone knows what the EY tax test supposed to have inside ah?

Tax computation?

Hi there,
For EY interview invitation, is it through an email, or a phone call? If it is through a phone call, could you PM me the number if you would like to? Cos I only receive a phone call, but no email confirmation yet, so I want to confirm.

EY will call first then send email - the email has a lag time.

Hi all, can anyone please tell me about:
1) KPMG finanical services audit interview
2) EY general audit interview

Also, will they ask any technical questions? Is it a one-to-one interview or group interview?

Currently I just received interview invitations from these two companies, so I would greatly appreciate any advice and help!

Thank you! :D

I'm not sure about job, but for my internship last year it was a chill session - mostly about the line manager getting to know you, basically all the default interview questions. (for KPMG - the manager was drinking a cocktail, lol)

For EY it was a group interview, took like almost 2 hours.

No technical questions for both, just typical questions: tell me more about yourself, blah blah

I'm not that sure because the last time i interviewed there was a year ago, will be going next week again so I guess I'll be able to tell?

Anyway, from Glassdoor as well as my past experience it was a round-robin interview (for audit at least): 3 interviewers, 3 interviewees, 10 minutes per interviewer.

Super lame, since you'll be introducing yourself 3 times but that's how it is. Written test according to my friends is a short essay to ensure you can write coherently, not technical.

Hi, so basically it'll be 3 separate interviews? That explains the duration then. Wonder why can't they just do a panel interview :s22:
May I ask if the questions are typical? And was the atmosphere tensed or relaxed? Are the interviewees suppose to outtalk each other?

Hi sorry, apparently Deloitte changes interview format yearly, this year it's an individual interview, I got a senior manager.

It's a pretty chill session, pretty standard interview questions.

May I know which position did you apply for?

My sincere apologies for the late reply. I received it on 15th Sep. I did apply for the other big 4 too, but only KPMG got back to me.

EY Interview

Fyi, I just interviewed with EY audit this morning. I don't think I did very well, but here are the advice nonetheless.

It was a group interview, 1 partner, 1 manager, 4 interviewees. The partner does not ask by the book and just went with the flow like giving advice, talking about EY, and ask us if we have any question. Expect to have alot of question to ask, since they ask a total of like 2-3 questions only.

Haha I kind of prefer that style of interview XD
Did you ask how long it will take for them to get back to you (ie. the results of the application)?

The interviewers started the report immediately after the interview, so i presume the result could be as fast as on the same day, or the next day. Anyway, the official answer is within 2 weeks.

Hi guys,

Looking for some advise here.

I'm an dip holder with going 3 years of experience doing accounting. Currently drawing 3xxx per month as an accountant.

As i'll be graduating from RMIT-Accountancy this year, wondering would it be a wise move to go audit and take a pay cut or should I continue to climb the corp ladder. :s11:

It can be as early as the same night, depending on how badly they want you..

That said, group interviews are pretty dumb, and the manager spammed technical questions (lol)

Don't think I did very well in it but whatever - good luck to everyone for their interviews
