Time really flies, the new season of Amazing Race (season 27) will return on Sep 25, 2015 at the usual time slot. The eleven teams will start the race from Venice Beach, LA heading to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

It goes to show that being first (30mins head start) doesn't meant one is leading and going for FF (at least in this leg) may not be a good option as it doesn't always pay out.
