Xperia Z5 Premium - World's first 4K display smartphone

Woke up and saw this... Wow...

Played with z5 premium at bugis... Initially i tot 5.5 inch is ideal size, but i find it too big, esp for guys who slot phone in front pocket.

Im really impressed by the chio z5 green.. Though only 100 cheaper, i believe the price wil plummet more due to z5p..

I had note 2 before and i want to go back to 5.5 screen

Just curious. Preorder is through Sony right? Telco got no preorder right? Then what u all do with your telco contracts huh? Buy other phone and sell?

Phone call recordings are not per installed on sony phones. However there are third party apps to go about.

Sony z series phone have a dedicated camera button. Pressing that in standby mode , will quick launch to camera. You can choose it to launch and capture video immediately.

Can try it at any sony center.

Can those that have the Z5 share the difference with Z5 premium ?

I check with a Sony rep at starhub and she mention on screen is 4 K. The rest are the same as Z5

Just played with the chrome Z5 Premium display unit at 313...the mirror finish was really pretty, but almost got blinded by the reflection when looking at the back from certain angle a few time due to their light bulbs around the store...

At first glance at the screen, it certainly isn't as bright as the standard Z5 or Z3+, but is still very bright nevertheless. It also doesn't look sharper due to it not rendering at native 4k...

When you look closer, most of the edge of the picture/font on the UI, it has this blur/fuzzy look to it, tried out chrome and it doesn't look any sharper, maybe chrome couldn't render at 4k yet.

Attempted to view picture through the album app, but there isn't any sharp looking 4k picture available...

The only time when the display looked really sharp and sweet is when viewing some of the movie in their video app, that is the only time I wowed...

I hope Sony/Google give us option to render everything at native 4k in the future..

The camera focusing speed is as quick as the Z5, but I feel the photo quality still need much work...as I couldn't tell if it is better than my Z3+...

Coming from a Z1 user. Telco plan is sim only hence my purchase from Sony store.

Tried the gold one at Bugis. Cant really tell if its a 4k screen lol. Phone is not that big and pretty alright to use one handed.

Theres a slight delay when viewing photos, might be due to the rendering in 4k so its slower than Z5.
