boss, this one? you using the gbit that come default with 2011UAS-2HnD-IN?

Amazon.com: Tripp Lite N320-01M Duplex Multimode 62.5/125 Fiber Optic Patch Cable LC/LC - 1M (3ft): Electronics

the sfp can be configured as a normal switch port? :o

Yeah, that's fine. It's OM1-rated btw.

I'm using mostly N820 (10Gbps OM3-rated) for future-proofing since the price diff isn't a lot :

BTW, the router only has an SFP cage. You need to get the SFP module too.

SFP can be configured as part of the switch group (instead of bridge) so no performance loss there.

I have the 2011UAS-2HnD-IN , intend to buy 1 more, so I can use the sfp to trunk them to each other, feasible?

That's the current limitation with the RouterBoards as they don't have NAT acceleration.

With a minimal set of firewall rules, my RB951G-2HnD and RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN can only manage ~250Mbps.

The upcoming RB850Gx2 (due in April/May) has NAT acceleration and should be able to deliver close to 1Gbps WAN-to-LAN throughput just like the Ubiquiti ERL/ER-POE.

Alternatively, you can go for the CCR range if you can't wait.

Is RB850Gx2 out in sg yet? Anyone tested wan to lan? Can hit 1gbps? The website shows 64k not very fast?

Here's my RB850Gx2 :

Test results :

With stateful firewall (& some extra rules)l but without PBR

SingTelexPloreHome500Mbps-RB850Gx2withMangle-141010.png

With stateful firewall (& some extra rules) & ~30 PBR rules

Already replaced it with a CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+PC and re-deployed the RB850Gx2 to my holiday home.

RB850Gx2 does around 500+Mbps NAT w/o policy-based routing. The lowest end MikroTik that is capable of close to 1Gbps NAT is the RB1100AHx2 but that is if you don't intend to do any policy-based routing.

IMO, for a little more $ compared to the RB1100AHx2, the CCR1009 is a much better option as it is capable of doing >3Gbps NAT.

1gbps with or without nat?

if you do not care about firewall, RB2011 with fasttrack is able to do 800-900mbps NAT otherwise you will need at least rb1100ahx2 but without poe out.

you also need to check the poe spec for your camera. mikrotik is using passive poe.

Simple port fowarding

http://routerboard.com/RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN

This can do 1gbps?

no, but 800-900 with fast track.

Is rb3011 out? Will that do gigabit routing and poe out?
based on the technical spec, yes, will be available Jan/Feb.

yes, if the isp is using open standard and if their OLT support

Can look at the newly launched Mikrotik RB3011UiAS-RM

10 ports, with POE in and POE out.
